how many bottles do you keep on hand, i have 9 right now that i like, and currently feeding via bottle 3-4 times a day. (slowly introducing the formula still)
I have six 4oz and six 8oz. Those are enough to get me through the day. I run the dishwasher at the end of the day...or when I'm getting low on a specific size.

This. I also have 2 dr browns and 1 avent that were gifts, in addition to my 12 evenflow bottles. I don't use either often but keep 'em on hand. We don't have a dishwasher, so I habdwash each night after E is asleep. I microwave them once a week.
I've got 2 Difrax S-shaped bottles. I boil them for 3 minutes once a day and just rinse after each feed.
I will add 2 more to the mix when Mr.S starts daycare so we'll just have a bit more on hand in case we might forget one of the bottles at daycare or something.
I think I had 9, since mine came in packs of 3. I wanted enough to get me through an entire day/night without having to stop & wash bottles. I would just wash them every night before I went to bed.
