My daughter is 4 weeks, 3 days old, and she has slept through the night the past 3 nights!! She was waking up at 1:30 and 5:30 then back to sleep before this, and now she has slept from 10:00pm - 6:00 all three nights. She is still taking her daytime naps and eating a ton. She's a little thing - just 6lbs 14oz right now. Is this real? She seems so small and young to be sleeping through the night! While I am totally excited and appreciate the extra sleep, I feel like this is too good to be true! Should I assume she will go back to waking up again soon?
Re: Is this real?
This. My LO started STTN (5-7hour stretches) at 1 week and has done so consistently ever since, but he was a whopping 9lbs and gained his weight back easily after birth.
Yes, she's actually 9oz past her birth weight now. She lost almost a pound in the hospital so she's gained 18oz since coming home! Our pediatrician said once she was back to birth weight to see what happens at night. She put herself on a pretty regular 3-4 hour eating schedule. She's like clockwork during the day...3oz every 3 hours, and she cluster feeds at night. I know she's gained all her weight back, but I am also aware that she's not very big. Maybe I'll call her pediatrician today just to double check. Thanks!
