  • (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 33w4d

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? Feeling really good although my energy level is decreasing some.  Still sleeping well although it's a little more difficult to get comfortable, LO lets me sleep soundly though, he's not antsy at night :)

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? Tomorrow for an U/S to see what position he's in, can't wait to see him!  Next check-up is on Tuesday, I go in weekly now.

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week? Just feeling like I'm walking so much slower and I'm a lot more tired in the evenings after work.

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP?  I was pretty tired but was still expecting AF to arrive, when AF didn't arrive for 2 days I POAS and didn't see a positive right away, I think I actually threw the stick away before it had time to sit for long enough, LOL!  The next day, Christmas eve, I saw the + sign!

    (6) Mamas: Do you have any tips for traveling with babies? Tips for the airplane/airport, sleeping when not at home, etc.  Good Q, we'd like to go back to HI in the spring of next year... maybe!

  • (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 32 weeks today!

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? feeling good, but tired & hot...and my hands & feet have been swelling a little more, but I think that is just as much the heat as it is pg

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? Today!  Just a regular checkup but also an u/s.  Baby seems to be bigger than avg (awesome! should make delivery a breeze Indifferent) so the dr wants to know how big of a baby we are working with!  Other exciting stuff:  supposed to take maternity pics this Sunday!  Hopefully the weather cooperates!

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week? I just feel old!  My joints & bones hurt...I really don't know how older moms do it!  and I am curious what causes the aches and pains...is it the extra weight? or the hormones?

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP?  I didn't have any symptoms for a while (maybe 6 or 7 weeks).  Before I POAS, I knew according to my chart I should have started & my temps were still up so I definitely had an idea.  My first symptoms (that I remember at least) were morning sickness that kicked in around week 8 & stuck around for awhile!  yuck!

    (6) Mamas: Do you have any tips for traveling with babies? Tips for the airplane/airport, sleeping when not at home, etc.  I have no baby yet, but my BIL & SIL brought there 4 year old & 1 year old to Hawaii for our wedding.  SIL thought the red eye would be the way to go so they would sleep, but we could only get one red eye & the other flight was an early morning one.  The kids did awesome on the early morning flight.  They were excited to look out the window & play games...then took naps.  During the red eye...completely different ball game.  They were both overly tired & miserable.  Literally cried the entire time!  Maybe it is just them, but after that not so pleasant experience, I would try to stick to a flight that can keep them in their normal routine.  But I am interested to hear if yall have similar experiences...

  • (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?  38 weeks, 4 days

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?  I'm alternating between feeling like he needs to be evicted ASAP, and (like today) feeling like I can't believe this stage (pregnancy) is almost over, and I'm not ready yet!

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?  Monday....will probably be the last OB appt!  If he's still head up (he is now, and doesn't seem like he wants to move a bit), we're scheduled for Thursday the 22nd at 11:30am for a c/s.  Yikes!  I'm getting excited about it, though, and I've been trying to focus on the good things about a c/s....of which there are several.  It's really helped me come to terms with it, since I originally didn't want that at. all.

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week? His hard head poking up under my ribs!  I can totally feel his head now, which is strange.  I'm not having too many contractions, since he's not pushing on my cervix at all, but I do have a few, and that's strange, too.

Other than that, just dealing with the heat.  It's been in the 90s, with a crazy high humidity, which I am just not used to at all.  I walk outside and get instantly drenched with the dense and air and sweat.  So, I stay home a lot!  :)

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP?  Definitely boobs hurting.  They were so painful that I had a hard  time getting dressed, and that started two days before I POAS.  I was going to wait another few days before testing, but then with that symptom, I went for it and got the BFP!

    (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?

    ~2 months

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?

Pretty good overall. Anxious about work, but otherwise, I'm doing well.

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?

    Check-up this week!

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week?

Getting LO to sleep more at night =P

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP?

I had a hankering craving for duck and a horrible allergic reaction.

    (6) Mamas: Do you have any tips for traveling with babies? Tips for the airplane/airport, sleeping when not at home, etc.

So far, we've only traveled on a road trip...we tried to set up the sleeping configuration the exact same as when we were at home and it seemed to work well and not disrupt his schedule. Our road trip also took about 3 hours longer than usual due to many stops to nurse and change. We also used a paci and white noise (some non-station to get static on the radio) to help calm him when he got fussy.

    (7) Mamas: Do you secretly (or not so secretly) worry about if your child meets developmental milestones right on track?

Yes, sometimes! I guess it's mainly because it's early and he's not super interactive yet or interested in toys, so I'm eagerly waiting for when that will happen =P I hear a lot changes when they're 3-4 months old though!

  • (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 21 weeks old tomorrow

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? Jack loves daycare.  DH goes to visit him at lunch and he smiles big when DH gets there but gets frustrated if DH takes him out of the "play area" (a little section where the babies sit and play).

On a personal note I got a promotion at work :)

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? nothing.  5 mo. shots next week but DH will just be taking him for that - it's just a quick drop in (we break them up by month)

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week? I have allergies!  It totally slipped my mind to worry about meds while BFing until 10pm last night when I went to take a Claritin D.  A quick call to the nurses line (and google) straightened me out (Claritin normal was suggested).  Of course that doesn't work as well, so I'm in a perma fog.

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP? 1-2 days before BFP we went on our normal hike, which is moderate (2000ft elevation gain in 2.5 mi.) but usually easy for me.  I burned through my water and had to sit and rest multiple times.  Crazy that a tiny ball of cells can already have that affect w/in days of conception.

    (6) Mamas: Do you have any tips for traveling with babies? Tips for the airplane/airport, sleeping when not at home, etc. We have only did a long road trip and it was totally easy.  Will be traveling to the midwest in Sept.  I wish we would have done it earlier but the ILs didn't want him traveling when he was tiny (now that he's semi mobile and interested in the world around him I think it will be more difficult than earlier).

    (7) Mamas: Do you secretly (or not so secretly) worry about if your child meets developmental milestones right on track? yep.  I wish Jack was more vocal.  Everyone else says their babies jabber away.  Jack gets into "moods" when he talks but he rarely just babbles without interaction - even with interaction he would rather just take everything in.

  • (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?

She'll be 6 months old in 10 days!  WOW!

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?

Turning the corner...I've decided to apply to an accelerated MBA program that has an emphasis in NPO Management.  I should be done in 18 months.  It's exciting and overwhelming to think about, but I know it's the best choice to provide for future options for me and my family.  I have to time things right because we also want to TTC#2 in the next 12-18 months...

Libby is developing at lightening speed...she's scooting now and gets on her hands and knees in preparation to crawl.  We've starting introducing solids though BLW...she's not eating anything just yet but has tasted yogurt, hummus, banana, oatmeal, applesauce, sweet potato and asparagus.  Her high chair arrives tomorrow...we got a Keekaroo Height Right Chair with cloth pad from Overstock:

    imageimage

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?

Libby's 6 month check-up and my annual exam are in mid-August.

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week?

Sleep regression!  For three nights in a row now Libby has been wakeful from 10 p.m. until midnight.  We rock, nurse, bounce, etc. and she's WIDE AWAKE.  I chalk it up to developmental milestones and teething, but it sucks.  I stayed home from work today because three days of 4-5 hours of broken sleep is a killer.  I am working with her today to get in some better naps...she's not been napping longer than an hour at a time lately which may be affecting her nighttime routine too.

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP?

I was charting but traveled overseas during the 2WW....I had spotting on 9DPO which was my first, "hmm...maybe?" and of course POAS 3 days later and got confirmation!  I also had sore boobs and a wicked appetite but thought it might be PMS.

    (6) Mamas: Do you have any tips for traveling with babies? Tips for the airplane/airport, sleeping when not at home, etc.

Ooh, cannot wait to read these responses as we take our first plane ride with Libby next month.  We'll be in CA for a week.

    (7) Mamas: Do you secretly (or not so secretly) worry about if your child meets developmental milestones right on track?

Nope.  Every baby is different.  In our case she's been ahead by 4-6 weeks and the pedi is pleased with her development and growth, so I don't worry.

    (8) What questions would you like to see in upcoming check-ins?

TTCers:  Which cycle are you on?  Where in the cycle are you?  What, if anything, are you doing/trying for TTC success?

  • (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? he is 8 months, 1 wk

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? he learned to sit up by himself the other weekend, and this week he's learned to pull himself up on things (not climb, just pull to standing)  he's also taking more purees again.

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? nothing exciting - just the 9 month appt next month - can't wait to see how much he weighs though!

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week? still teething & separation anxiety, and now that he can pull himself to standing, we're looking slightly higher to baby proof.

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP? being "late", sore boobs, not being too crampy!

    (6) Mamas: Do you have any tips for traveling with babies? Tips for the airplane/airport, sleeping when not at home, etc. This is one area we're bad at - since he sleeps with us, it makes it easier to sleep when not at home b/c he's just in bed w/ us wherever, but on the last trip we learned we need NIGHTLIGHTS with us!  But it also is another excuse we keep using for not sleeptraining him.  We seem to always come up with something.  It's pathetic, I know!

    (7) Mamas: Do you secretly (or not so secretly) worry about if your child meets developmental milestones right on track?   sometimes, but i find i rarely have time to check anything that's not in the weekly emails (from babycenter.com and the like)

  • (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 12 weeks, 2 days

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? I'm feeling pretty good! The boys have been sleeping from about 11pm-8am, which is AWESOME!

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? Nothing...lol I STILL haven't made my appointment to get an IUD!

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week? Hmm. I can't think of anything specific. I'll have to get back to you on this one!

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP? Not particularly. I never had unusually sore boobs, fatigue etc. before getting a BFP either time. (Well, maybe a little, but not any more than I would have leading up to AF.)

    (6) Mamas: Do you have any tips for traveling with babies? Tips for the airplane/airport, sleeping when not at home, etc. Not at this stage - all we've done is drive with them in a car.

    (7) Mamas: Do you secretly (or not so secretly) worry about if your child meets developmental milestones right on track? Sometimes. It's very common for multiples to be a little behind developmentally because it's impossible to spend the one-on-one time with them that encourages development in the same way that you can with a singleton. So even though I know it's very likely, it still makes me a little sad...I know that all children are different, but I think that the only time that not being on track doesn't (secretly, mildly) worry a parent is if their child is ahead of the curve. Stick out tongue
  • (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 21w5d

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? feeling good!  *finally* feeling like i'm getting the 2nd tri energy boost, hah.  mostly glad to just be home again after a week on the road.  sleeping on planes has gotten incredibly uncomfortable, never taking a red-eye while pg again

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? in about 2.5 weeks, nothing exciting.  i am feeling the baby move more and more though, which is fun.  and MH can feel him pretty regularly too.

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week? can't really think of anything this week - it's been a non-eventful week in the BR department!

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP? can't really remember if i had symptoms - i tested at 12 DPO b/c my chart was so gorgeous, haha.  but then the sore boobs hit...it was so bad, i woke myself up once when i was sleeping because i rolled over, one smacked the other, and it hurt! Stick out tongue oh, and i was so. tired. all the time.

    (6) Mamas: Do you have any tips for traveling with babies? Tips for the airplane/airport, sleeping when not at home, etc. everyone says it's easiest to travel early, when they're still sleeping a lot...after that, i'm no help!

    (7) Mamas: Do you secretly (or not so secretly) worry about if your child meets developmental milestones right on track?   i'm sure i will be one of those who worry Stick out tongue

    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?

she is 8 months and 3 days! unofficial weigh-in at home has her at about 15.5 lbs :) there was a baby sitting behind us on the plane yesterday that was also 8 months old...but she was only 15 lbs!! i was laughing to myself that we got to see a baby that was smaller than miss A :) there was also another 8 month old baby sitting across the aisle from us....i don't know how much she weighed but she had to have been at least 25lbs!

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?

i forgot to post last week so let's see...she is growing by leaps and bounds now!

she can pull herself to standing and has also figured out how to plop down "gracefully" from standing to either the crawling position or onto her bum/sitting.  and by "graceful" i mean that she doesn't face plant and doesn't cry...but it isn't very graceful at all LOL

she can walk w/assistance now...either with us holding both her hands or by holding her under her armpits.  nothing motivates her to walk more than....yep, you guessed it....the cell phone!! (same thing that motivated her to crawl)

she's also cruising on our furniture now...she does much better on surfaces that are chest height or lower...the sofa is above her shoulder height and she is having some trouble cruising on that b/c she is afraid of falling i think.

she figured out how to make clicking sounds with her tongue and does it all the time now - so cute.  she loves it when i copy her too :)

she's crossing her fingers in the oddest way - her index finger on top of her middle finger (when clearly it's easier to do it the opposite way) and then she rotates her wrist back and forth and stares at her hand while she does it.  she does this all the time when she is bored.

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?

in 1 month she'll get some more shots

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week?

continuing to ignore the comments from my family during our last few days out in CA

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP?

boobs were sore/bigger and i got nausea in the evenings.

only thing that led me to believe i was PG was the sore boobs - but that can be normal w/each cycle so it didn't make me think one way or the other.  i tested + at 9dpo so it was too early for me to have any real symptoms that would make me think i was PG

    (6) Mamas: Do you have any tips for traveling with babies? Tips for the airplane/airport, sleeping when not at home, etc.

obviously, wearing your baby is the easiest way to travel through the airport :) i could not have done it otherwise!

if you are flying w/your LO in your lap, call ahead and have his/her name added to the manifest...this will also add the "infant in arms" to your boarding pass so you don't have to stand in line at the ticket counter to get this done when you arrive

get the window and aisle seat if you are both traveling. if the flight isn't full, ask the agent at the airport to put an "infant block" on the middle seat so you get the whole row.  then you can bring your car seat on board instead of gate checking it.  if the flight fills up, you can switch seats w/the person in the middle seat so you are sitting together still (anyone w/a middle seat will gladly trade you!)

nurse or give your baby a bottle right before take off but not too much sooner (unless he/she is really hungry)....the sucking can help with their ears...plus if they fall asleep too early, the sound of the captain announcing you're at cruising altitude (along w/the multiple beeps on the loud speaker) will wake your LO...so it's best if he/she is still eating/falling asleep at this time.

pack some toys to keep your LO occupied should he/she wake up, but also don't forget that babies love anything that is novel to them. on our last flight, miss A was "entertained" for a good 45 min with the buckle on my angelpack

check w/your airline on baggage allowances...on american, you're allowed a diaper bag in addition to the regular allowances, even if your LO does not have a ticket. this allowed me to bring our cloth diapers w/us (w/o paying baggage fees) on our trips since we had a washer/dryer readilya available at our destinations

make sure you have a change of clothes readily available (for both of you)! on one of our flights miss A threw up all over me right after she finished nursing.  i was stuck w/the both of us stinking the rest of the flight! then on our last flight for some reason the PUL on her diaper cover wasn't working and she started leaking right onto her clothes!! i had to change both her diaper and her clothes very early on in the flight.

dress your LO in a footed sleeper or in a onesie + babylegs. makes changing them on the plane much easier than dealing with pants.  if you use the babylegs, if he/she gets too warm, you can easily take the babylegs off.

when she was tiny, using our carry-on suitcase lined w/blankets was the perfect "travel infant bed"...after she outgrew that but before she was able to crawl over things, we let her sleep on a quilt on the floor and just blocked off the area with misc things (i.e. my suitcase)....and then this last trip when she was able to crawl over things and pull herself to standing we finally used a pack n play and just left it at the grandparents' :)

i think those are all the tips i can remember for right now :)

    (7) Mamas: Do you secretly (or not so secretly) worry about if your child meets developmental milestones right on track?

i don't worry about her meeting milestones b/c i know every baby is different...that said, i still get really really excited whenever she meets one - no matter when it is!

  • Jaime -- Love your travel tips!!!

    ----------

    (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?

    10 months (and 6 days)!!!

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?

We are continuing to expand Alexa's culinary experiences... This week she had rice & beans at daycare one day, then turkey sloppy joes the next! She also tried peas & carrots at home. Getting closer to table foods!

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?

Net appt is 1 year in Sept.

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week?

No challenges... Lots of smiles and fun!

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP?

VERY tired and threw a fit when I was hungry and DH did not get us to dinner in time. But it didn't dawn on me until I missed my P for two weeks. We tested around 5 1/2 weeks.

    (6) Mamas: Do you have any tips for traveling with babies? Tips for the airplane/airport, sleeping when not at home, etc.

YES! We just took Miss A to Chicago, and she was a rock star! Nursed on take-off. HOLD OFF until you KNOW you will be taking off, especially with older babies, because she only nurses 5 mins a side, so if you taxi too long, you'll be rushing to get her on the 2nd side while taking off! She sucked on her paci for the way down.

We got a padded car seat carrier and gate-checked that and her snap & go. I used the Ergo to carry her on and off the airplane. In the future, we'll check her car seat and take an umbrella stroller to the gate.

(Easier to carry baby in airport, but if you want a stroller to use on your trip, it's better to gate check it than regular check it because it's free to gate check a stroller and costs $$ to regular check it; Plus it doesn't get as beat up when it's gate checked because not as far to travel to plane.)

We asked my friend ahead of time if she could borrow a Pack 'n Play for Alexa to sleep in and then I just brought our own sheets. We also brought our video monitor and, since we had room, the sleep sheep, which was helpful since we were all in the same room and it helped muffle noise when we entered the room and left and she was still sleeping.

I also asked my friend ahead of time to buy diapers, wipes and baby food so we did not have to pack them. We purchased the Phil & Ted's travel high chair but ended up not using it. Still, I'm glad we got it because it's VERY compact and easy to throw in the stroller so we can use it on picnic tables and in other situations.

I picked up a flight vest for $5 at a consignment store and am glad I did not pay full price ($29) for it since it didn't help much. Alexa is just VERY squirmy and she was so excited on the airplane that she was all over the place and nothing was going to change that!

My mom had a good idea... Buy little cheap toys and wrap them up. Then give them to the kids on the airplane one at a time. Taking off the paper and playing with the paper will occupy some time. Then the toy will occupy some time. The inflight magazine occupied some time. Eating puffs on the tray table took some time. Eating my camera bag strap took some time. Her attention span was very short so it was really hard to keep her occupied the whole flight! I can only imagine what it would be like on a flight to Hawaii! (She only napped for about 15-20 mins after the takeoff nurse. I think she was too excited.)

    (7) Mamas: Do you secretly (or not so secretly) worry about if your child meets developmental milestones right on track?

No. Luckily, Alexa hits all the milestones early, before I even know they are milestones. She is not walking yet but if she waits another 4 months, I'm fine with that! My friend's baby didn't walk until she was 14 months and she's fine! I think that made it easier on my friend... My other friend's baby walked at 8 months and she had her hands full!

  • (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 3 months, 1 week

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? He's "talking" so much now and you can see him trying to imitate you -- curling his mouth just like yours or making the same sort of breathy sounds like trying to respond to "hi." It's so cute.

He's also so much more attentive to things in the environment, so we took him to the zoo for the first time today. He only paid attention to the big animals-- the giraffes and elephants -- but it's a start.

Oh, and I took him to the library for the first time! We read two dinosaur books (quickly) and happily departed before he made too much noise.

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? 4 month visit coming up

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week? Finding time and babysitters for alone-time with my friends. It's really gotten on my nerves to be missing out on that, even though DH and I both try to make it happen. Gotta be better at that for my own mental health!

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP?  Super tired. Got the BFP early since we were trying, so no real symptoms other than fatigue.

    (6) Mamas: Do you have any tips for traveling with babies? Tips for the airplane/airport, sleeping when not at home, etc.  Nope, haven't done it yet. Friends tell me now's the best time to travel, but the thought of it overwhelms me.

    (7) Mamas: Do you secretly (or not so secretly) worry about if your child meets developmental milestones right on track? In truth, yes, sometimes I do. But like everyone says, I know that all babies are different. Mainly, I just try to be aware if something is really unexpected, otherwise I let him be.

I think the tendency for over-concern or over-comparison is something I'll just have to learn to control now that I'm a mom. It's probably a feeling that never entirely goes away.

But I am interested to hear if yall have similar experiences...

ooooh i did not read this until now!! this was absolutely my experience too! i thought night time would be perfect b/c she'd just sleep the whole way. we've gone on 6 flights and the one that was at 10pm was the absolute worst one!! she was soooo cranky and tired and could not fall asleep i was miserable (b/c i could not get her to stop crying).  i tried holding/snuggling her, nursing her, etc and it basically came down to her getting over tired to the point where she finally just gave in and went to sleep.  in reality she was probably only crying for 30 min on and off and fussing loudly the rest of the time but as a parent i was so stressed out trying to get her to stop (didn't want to be that parent on the plane w/the crying baby).  never doing that again (unless we have to). it will be daytime flights for us from now on!

I am probably in the minority on this board, but I think it's GREAT that you're still bed-sharing.  We'll probably do it until she's at least one year old, maybe longer.  If you ever visit the Attachment Parenting board A LOT of the mamas are bed-sharing (happily) well past LO's 1st bday.  Personally, I can see that it would make traveling SO much easier since the sleeping arrangement would be pretty consistent with home and less disruptive.  JMHO.  So in my eyes, you're far from pathetic...way to go mama!

  • (1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?

I am now 28 weeks along.  Third trimester baby!!  Yay!

    (2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?

Feeling good, but getting tired again.  Had a burst of energy in the 2nd trimester and now back to being very tired all the time.   I am feeling great though about handling my Gestational Diabetes.  Lori and Lisa's tips helped a lot and I am on about day four of all good readings.

    (3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?

Ultrasound is coming up.  Not normally done, but since my placenta was low, and Cashew looked a little small on the 20 week ultra sound they wanted to do another one.

    (4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week?

I can no longer bend over!!  I officially have a tummy.  Which means it hurts if i bend down to grab something. So I have been working on my squats every time I drop something

    (5) What were your earliest pregnancy symptoms? Did anything lead you to believe you were pregnant prior to getting a confirmed BFP?

Breast tenderness.  I was like please don't hug me.  I was also doing taking my basal temperature and notice it was up for multiple days and I knew!

    (8) What questions would you like to see in upcoming check-ins?

Thanks, I appreciate the support! But it is getting harder and harder, and especially since he fell out of bed during the day and it hasn't dampened his sense of adventure, that's making it hard for me to get any sleep as I'm constantly worrying about him crawling off the side of the bed.  I'll visit the AP board though, maybe they ahve some ideas.  :)
