T&P for a friend please

A friend of mine -Amanda- was pregnant and just gave birth to her daughter yesterday. I'm asking for T&P because for some reason Amanda had 2 seizures after her labor.. one at 11 something and another at just after 1.. her SO is terrified as are all of us. 

She had a perfect pregnancy, but she did go overdue and had to be induced. I'm still getting bits and pieces of the story from her SO by text but apparently they had to use foreceps to get her DD out. She weighed 8something..

her daughter is in the NICU while they try to figure out what's wrong with Amanda. They've given her a catscan and put her on anti-seizure medicine. 

They are saying she'll probably be a week in the hospital but they expect her to be okay.

does anyone have similar experience? any advice to share?

    No similar experience or advice, but I have said a prayer. Be sure to update!

    I don't know of anyone who's gone through this after delivery, but my dad used to have a lot of seizures until he got on the right medicine.

    I will definitely say a prayer for your friend and her family.

    Liss, what's her BP?  Was she having headaches prior to the seizures?  Any protein in her urine?  If she's having seizures post-delivery, she could be eclamptic.  Believe it or not, you can get pre-eclampsia/eclampsia POST delivery.  It's not very common, but it can happen.  If she has any flu-like symptoms or upper right quadrant gastric pain, have her talk to her doctor IMMEDIATELY.  She could be experiencing liver issues.  

    T and P for sure!  Hope it's nothing serious.

    I don't know any of that C.. she's still in the hospital and will be there for a while until they figure it out
