Oh, but don't let the 9 months thing scare you though. Mine really started clearing up around 13 weeks, and was basically gone around week 16. It's kind of back now sometimes in the mornings, but nowhere near what it was 1st tri.
Tips - you'll find tons, you'll get tons, but really everyone is different.
For me, I had to eat right away in the morning. Something light but that had to be the first thing I did. I resorted to putting food on my nightstand so I could get some crackers in me before getting up. I had to take it SUPER easy in the morning. Like my getting ready time doubled. I had to move slow, sit down a lot, and sip water. I also LOVED prego pops (motherhood maternity carries them, maybe others) and I got these organic lemon drops from Seward Coop that were really good too. I ate ginger candies and real ginger ale (also from Seward). My biggest trick was that I had to keep small bits of food in me all the time. Go with your cravings! It will get food in you that you can handle eating. I loved bagels with cream cheese, grapefruit, and bean burritos. Stay away from stinky people - I never knew how many people wore way too much cologne and perfume until I got pregnant. YUCK! Good luck to you, hope it clears up soon!!!

I LOVED sour patch kids and mike and ikes. anything that was sweet/sour saved me. I just discovered sour dots at walgreens last week....and I'm going to have to remember them for the next time I'm pregnant!!!

I only had "morning sickness" from week 7-11. I was uncomfortable all day, not just in the morning. I found that if I ate 3 meals and 4-6 snacks thru the day that helped. I had to have something in my stomach all the time. Nothing helped with the bloating and constipation for me though.
For my first DS, I had it until around 14 weeks For this one it lasted until almost 20wks. What helped for each pregnancy was completely different. Gatorade worked really well for me the first time and this pregnancy pretty much any kind of hard candy to suck on.
My tip would be eat whatever sounds good, especially if it has some nutritional value. Mine was also always worse if I went more than 2 hours between eating.
At right about 14 weeks, I suddenly just felt better one day. It was amazing.
Other ladies have had great tips, but one thing that my midwife suggested to me was something that I had never heard before, and it worked great for me.
She suggested having a cold Coke (not Diet Coke or Pepsi or Dr. Pepper, but just plain old Coke) in the morning.
She said that the amount of caffeine that you will get from one can of pop a day for < 12 weeks will not likely have a dramatic effect on your pregnancy, and that if it makes it so you are able to eat healthy food vs. feeling nauseous, the 'bad' for outweighs the 'good' of drinking soda.
I thought she was crazy at first, but a cold Coke in the am was a godsend for me!
Thanks ladies for all the help. I am 7 weeks and I feel horrible all day. Its hard getting food in, but I know I have to. Thanks for the tips I'm going to try some of them out!
Just to tack on to what others have said...eating did more to help me than anything. I know it is so hard because the last thing you want to do when you feel bad is eat but it should help. Also rest as much as you can. And find something that sounds good to you and go with it. I loved lemonade and icees and in general anything cold helped me.
good luck! I sick until about 14 weeks and one day I actually said out loud to myself "I feel normal today". You will get there. Just take it one day at a time.
From weeks 6 through 13 I couldn't keep anything down....often times, not even water. ?During those weeks I survived on cantaloup and watermelon (low acid, high water content). Once it got a little better (week 14), I could keep down things like baked potatoes and toast. ?My doctor, chiropractor, and acupuncturist all recommended a supplement of vitamin B-6. ?It helped a bit. ?Now, at 17 weeks, I only actually "get sick" a few times a week.
