Should we tell my parents separately?

Thank you for letting me join your board group!  I'm new to the pregnancy thing!  :)

The scoop:  We just found out we are pregnant a week ago today!  Yeah!  We're 5 weeks today!  We have been keeping the secret from my parents (well, everyone basically) because we'd like to tell them in person.  We'll be flying to see them in less than two weeks.  I just found out my dad will be out of town when we fly in - to be expected a day later.  I don't know how long I can keep it from my mom once I see her.  What are your thoughts on telling my parents separately?  Would that be fair to my dad? 

We have a gift for both of them and planned on having them open their gifts together but like I said before I'm not sure if I can last the whole day WITH my mom and not tell her (or her figuring it out since she has always told me that she'd be able to tell!!!)

Thanks for your thoughts...I can't really call anyone and ask their opinion!  :)

    Congrats! I would tell your mom (maybe with your dad on Skype or on the phone or something).  It's so hard to keep that excitement inside. 

    Oh and just to let you know.  The Nest Colorado board is full of moms and expectant moms and is way more active than this Bump board.  If you want to meet-up with other moms that is a great resource (they come over to the Bump for the national boards and stick to the Nest state board mostly).

    Thanks for both pieces of advice!  I was beginning to wonder if there was something wrong with the Colorado board!  :)
