Recommend your RE (Northeast or east metro)

Hello ladies-

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for the past 15 months.  I just went through all the infertility testing at my OB/GYN but thinking that I really should go to an RE.  Anyone have any recommendations in the east metro or northeast metro?  I live in Blaine area and work in Woodbury.

Thanks in advance.

  • I live in Blaine and work in St Paul. We went to Dr Pavelka at Pavelka Reproductive Associates in Fridley, MN (attached to Unity Hospital). We now have two lovely dd. It's a very small clinic, so you get to know Dr Pavelka and his nurses. Bonus was that with one exception, he met with me at every appt, rather than just seeing his nurses. Plus, it's very easy to get last minute appts, the office opens at 7am and there are weekend hours when needed. I found him very easy to talk to and appreciated that while he was very positive about our situation, he remained realistic and didn't promise us the moon. He is an expert on non-ivf fertility treatments. If clomid, femara and injectibles don't work for you, he can complete the overstimulation part of ivf in his office. I believe he works largely with the Center for Reproductive Medicine (down by Abbott Northwestern) for ivf. I was referred to Dr Lisa Erickson at the Center for Reproductive Medicine by my Ob/Gyn, Dr Lisa Mattson at Fridley Ob/Gyn. I never met Dr Erickson, but I've heard good things about her. I also was referred to Dr Colleen Casey at Reproductive Medicine & Infertility Assoc located in Woodbury. As I never pursued ivf, I never met or worked with her. Good luck!

  • My husband and I were having troubles conceiving as well and my general practitioner recommended John Malo with Center for Reproductive Medicine.  She went through them and had beautiful twin girls.  We made the appointment and the day before we were supposed to go we found out we were pregnant!  If I have problems again in the future, I will go there.  I have heard good things about them and feel better knowing my own doctor used him and was very pleased.

    Good luck!!!

  • We saw John Malo (as mentioned above- center for reproductive medicine). He and his staff are very professional, informative, and super sweet. ? They have offices in Minneapolis and St. Paul. ?They also do procedures/appointments each day of the week (which turned out to be critical for us). ??We had a great experience, and I recommend them without hesitation.?
