When I went in for my induction, we boarded our cat, Boodle, who had chronic renal failure, at the vet's so he would get his medicine while we were in the hospital. Well, Boodle died 12 hours after my daughter was born. We requested for his remains to be cremated and they told us in 3-4 weeks, we would get a letter saying we could pick up his ashes and pay then. We were in the hospital and obviously a little busy, so we arranged everything on the phone
I got a bill but no letter so I just called. They told me that because we haven't paid, his remains haven't been sent out. I have to pay and then they will be available in another 2-3 weeks.
WTF? So my dead cat is still sitting in a freezer or something? ![]()
Re: NBR annoyed at my vet
I know! I would have been so upset!
It's just frustrating. Not only did I find out the morning after giving birth that my kitty had died unexpectedly, but I thought we at least had everything arranged. Sigh...
That sucks about the vet.... but I gotta say (and don't hate me) I have two cats, both sick (one blind and sleeping in his litterbox all the time, and the other with major ar$$ problems) and while I would never "wish" death upon them, because I love them... I'm so worried that when this baby comes I won't be able to keep up with two sick cats, a baby, and two dogs, plus of course a husband. The loss could be a blessing.
