So... It was kind of a waste of time.
Dr walks in, says "Sorry for your miscarriage"
Me:
but almost ![]()
Anywho, Dr does not think that this last loss was caused by my prometrium withdrawl. He said that it was most likely a genetic thing. He also said that 15% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. (I should go buy a lottery ticket - I keep being the 'statistic')
The "plan": Keep on going with clomid. He's letting me do 3 more cycles of 150mg clomid. No monitoring. I asked. He said he doesn't do it, especially because I've had success (weak success in my eyes). And he wants me to wait another month (really, Dr? 2 months for such an early loss?)
The semi-good news: Laproscopy has been put off until I fail these next 3 cycles of clomid.
All in all - not the most informative appointment, but whatever. Not the Doomsday news that I normally get.
Re: Ok - my turn! post appt report
:::hugs:::
It sucks you have to wait another month, but I'm glad he thinks moving on and trying with the Clomid again is a good idea.
And I'm glad you can delay the Lap.
Missed m/c 11.09 | Missed m/c 3.10 | We miss you & love you so.

2. Not monitoring is fvcking stupid.
3. the prometrium thing sounds on track. all the research thats out there indicates that progesterone supps are neutral for pregnancy, neither helping nor harming. hell, i stopped taking progesterone and 3 weeks later still hadnt started miscarrying.
4. if you dont get pg in these 3 cycles, are injectables and iui the next step?
The Dr I'm seeing is a fertility Dr. I specifically asked about cysts (for BBHME) and he said that I got pregnant so he doesn't believe I have issues with lining or with cysts... ::insert massive eyeroll from me here::

Oh I'm sorry you have to wait another month. That's not fair. And I wish the appointment was more 'exciting' - but it's a plan!
I hope this plan brings you joy soon!
Okay, actually, I think this is okay. I think his opinion about the prometrium is crap, but whatever. You get to move forward with the dose of Clomid that did actually work. With religious charting (religious, Carrie!) and using your effing fertility monitor (use it, Carrie!), you'll have an idea of whether and when you ovulate. And you don't have to do the lap (which I thought was kind of a waste).
I am excited for this. How long is he going to let you go on this sorta-cycle before you get prometrium? Or (please, no) is he going to do another mid-cycle start? I'd like to hear what the MFM has to say about the plan.
In short, good luck and long live parentheses!
((hugs)))
I'm glad you are going to try clomid again but it stinks that he won't do any monitoring. I will be crossing my fingers for you!
well that really stinks you have to wait to TTC again. but hopefully you can at least enjoy the summer w/ lots of drinks!
and hopefully the clomid works and you get that sticky baby!!!!
two months seems long
I'm sorry that you have to wait.
I don't understand why he won't monitor you, I think that would frustrate me as well.
