Flying out in 17 hours and Emmy is RIDICULOUS
She's in super cling-on mode. Whining/crying/fussing non stop, hasn't napped all day, slept like crap last night. I seriously feel like it's ME, because my H will run to the store with her or something to give me a break and she's happy as can be. The minute he walks in the door, she's whining, trying to get to me.. and then I hold her and she's still whining, fussing, squirming, etc. I can't distract her with anything- tried playing with her favorite toys, tried reading books, etc.
I called urgent care at our pedi's office and we have an appointment at 6:20. I honestly don't know that she's sick though, because she's only whiny/fussy around ME!
To further make me feel like crap, my H called from the car where Emmy is happily babbling away and said, "You know, maybe she's just done nursing and that's why she's so fussy around you."- Um, WTF does that even mean?

My DD can be the exact same way. Happy as a clam with DH and then I get in the room and she's super clingy and whiny. We've had this for the last few days and just today we noticed she has a fever. I hope your LO isn't sick.
And I don't understand your DH's comment either. Babies don't get fussy around mama when they don't want to nurse anymore! Men!
yeah, it's like he thought she was afraid I would try to nurse her?
actually if anything it's that she WANTS to nurse all the time, I just don't like nursing an almost 11 month old 15+ times a day.
I get this image of you with a boob out, chasing your daughter around. "Aaaagh, not the boob! Anything but the boob, mom!" LOL!

Cindy. I FEEL YOU SO MUCH. DD has been a FUSS fest with me this past 5 days. To the point where she is literally driving me insane. Only with me though!! She's fine with my Mom and with DH (as long as I'm not there). She's nursing constantly, trying to crawl out of my arms, not sleeping, and she has this little constant whine. She won't play with toys. She just wants to stand and whine.
No advice. None. Zero. Just commiseration.
