hey ladies!!

Allow me to (re)introduce myself...

I'm Shan...momma to Owen, born une 16th :) I was previously a VERY active poster throughout the triboards, so Im hoping that I recognize some of you...and that you recognize me!

Life has been crazy, but Owen's a whole month old tomorrow!! ahh! We've been struggling with breastfeeding/pumping, and had a horrible scare when Owen had to be resuscitated after birth and didn't breath for about 5 minutes.

    Just read your birth story. Wow, what a fast labor! I am so glad Owen is okay. I am sure you were scared out of your mind. When my water broke, there was meconium in it, so all day I was terrified my LO would aspirate it and have lung problems, etc. When he was born they suctioned him like CRAZY before he could scream so he wouldnt suck any in. Thankfully all was okay, but I was a worried mess all day!

     How is recovery going for you? Hard to believe that we were all on the tri boards not too long ago! My little Levi is a big 6 weeks today!

    Evan is great :)  He is nearly double his birthweight already! The doctor says everything is as it should be or better, so that makes me happy.

    Recovery is going allright, though I'm dealing with ALOT of family drama and stress, and dealing with Postpartum depression. I'm seeing a public health nurse every two weeks to help with lactation issues, and to keep m mally in check.

    Hows it going for you??

    I'm back! Levi nursed for a good while (and I think I might have fallen asleep!?) We are all doing well! Levi gave us a good scare a few weeks back. He was having some major vomiting, which at first was diagnosed as acid reflux. It kept getting worse, and more forceful, and became projectile after every feeding. He ended up having pyloric stenosis and had surgery at 4 weeks old! He is doing much, much better now!

    I go back to work next Tuesday which I am NOT looking forward to. :-(

    Yay! Welcome back and congrats on little Owen - he's a cutie for sure! Glad to hear everything is going better now. I had my LO, Deklan on June 29th so not too long after you :)
