I was thinking about how much time LO is in daycare recently and I think it's a lot. I drop him off around 8:30 and pick him up around 6:30. That's a long day for a little boy isn't it?
8am until 5pm most days for us. Could you and DH share drop off or pick up so that one of you goes into work earlier so s/he can pick your LO up earlier? If not, I'm sure he's fine and you do what you have to do.
7:30am-5:15pm...its mainly because I live in a big city and even while still living in the city, the 7 mile commute downtown is 45 minutes each way via train.
My DS is there from 8:30 - 5 if I get him, sometimes H can get him at 4:30ish. I work through lunch to get enough hours but that way I can leave earlier to get DS at 5 (he can only stay until 5:30) and I work 20 - 25 mins from DS's daycare

8:45-5:45 Lately I've been dropping off and DH has done pickup.
It does seem like a long day, but there are some days she doesn't even want to leave! So I try not to worry about it too much. Originally I wanted to keep her day under 8 hrs, but it just isn't possible.
I may do this more when she is older, since I can WFH in the evenings sometimes.
Normally I drop DD off at DC a little before 8 am. DH picks her up anywhere from 4-5:30 depending on his schedule. If he is out of town or can't get her I am not able to pick her up until 5:45 pm. `
I drop her off a little before 8 am and pick her up at 5. So 9 hours. It is a long day but at this point it is DD's "home away from home" and I don't think she thinks of it as being out all day. (of course she is 6 months old so this is me guessing her emotions, but she is a happy little bugger so she must be doing ok there!)
7:00 am to 5:15 pm at the most. Usually drop off anytime between 7 and 8 and they are picked up anytime between 3 and 5:15 depending on DH and my schedules.
You guys make me feel better. I feel like DS is the first toddler there and the last to go home. I usually drop him off between 7:45 and 8:00 and DH is supposed to pick him up by 5:00 but sometimes gets to be closer to 5:30. I think a lot of the parents at our center actually are stay at homes or work at homes who are able to do a shorter day or just sending their kid for preschool as opposed to all day childcare.
I drop DD off at 6:45 and then pick her up at 4:30. I hate that she's in daycare so long, but I have a really long commute (3 hours round trip) so that tacks on extra time she has to be there. I can't wait to move back home so she'll only be there from 7:30-3.

DS is at our house a couple days a week and with my sister a couple days too from 7 - 5. It is a long day and DH and I both adjusted our hours when I wen back to work to make it shorter. I have every other Friday off which helps and work a shorter day on the Fridays I work. It isn't ideal for me but we make it work.
our LO starts monday & will be there from 7:45-5:15. sometimes my fiance will be able to pick him up wednesdays around noon if he has enough staff working to be able to leave but most of the time he will be there all day since his daycare is by where i'm working and i am there 8-5.

7:30 - 4:45 and that's w/DH and I sharing. He drops off and I pick up because I have to be at work at 7 am (we get off at the same time). Since I work 9 hour days to be home on Fridays, I don't feel AS guilty but it's still hard:(
10 hours: 7:15 - 5:15. He's usually the first one there because they open at 7:15. If I hit traffic after work, it may be closer to 5:45 when I pick him up, but no later because they close at 5:45!
I drop off at 6:45 and pick up at 5:30. Both DH and I work 10 hour days. I guess I never thought about it being a long day. It is an in home daycare and can't imagine its much different than being home with me (probably more fun!). DS loves being there and it works for us.

DD is at daycare from 7am to 5:30ish pm. I drop her off and DH picks her up b/c I can't get there in time. I feel your pain. It sucks to be away from them so much doesn't it?!?!
Re: what hours is your LO in daycare?
The girls are there from 7:30 - 5pm....so just a half hour less than your LO...it is a long day, but what can you do?
Will baby #3 be another girl?

7:45am to about 5:45pm- 10 hours a day...
roughly 7:30-5:30.
I hate it, but it's our only option right now.
He's there either 7:15-5:15 or 6:30-4:30, so 10 hours either way. I wish it could be shorter, but that's the way it has to be.
