We are going to an outdoor Festival tomorrow and will be there pretty much all day. Lunch and dinner for DD will have to be there while in the stroller.
I'm bringing her Oatmeal and some pureed (jarred) veggies, but usually do a finger food to go along with that stuff (like cheese toast or a boiled veggie cut up.)
Any ideas for finger food that I can bring along with me that I can feed her as part of her lunch and/or dinner? I need something that will keep, as we will be outside all day.
Re: Need HELP! on-the-go food ideas
Will you have an icepack with you? If so I'd bring some small cubes of cheese for her or even a string cheese. Otherwise you could bring crackers, a piece of fruit (maybe a plum you can cut it up and they are soft), some hummus, or you could steam some carrots before you go in the morning and she can eat those cold.
PS I see you are in NC which festival are you going to this weekend? We are hitting up the Shelton Vineyards fall festival tomorrow I think.
I just found some madarin oranges in a cup at Super Target with no added sugar. My DD loves the freakin things.
Wow. I'm so bad for this because there are about 436 things I give Joseph that I know most of you don't give your kids. But we are constantly on the go, and Joseph is often eating in his stroller, a cart at a store, car seat, etc.
He loves cheese. Frozen peas in the same bag could keep it cool until you were ready to feed him and then he could have the veggie and cheese. Cubed meat, breadsticks, berries. But usually, he eats what we eat. So we are going to a fall festival tomorrow, and he will have apples, hot dogs, soft pretzels, and pumpkin donuts, and fresh (but pasteurized) cider.
