Possibly Controversial - Premonition? (Longish)

So in general I am a very skeptical person with one major exception - my youngest sister.  She's 32 and over the years has had more than enough incidents of premonition to prove to me that for her, it is not just coincidence.

How does this relate to the bump?  She lives in Spain and just called to ask if I had news (BFP).  Of course I played it off and she said, oh, I had three signs so I thought you had news.  The three signs:

1.  Dreamt about me and DH last night - we were being secretive and then she woke up as we were about to make an announcement.

2.  All of her conversations at school today somehow turned to me.

3.  She saw a magpie on her way home - and magpie's are a sign of impending good news in some cultures.

I sent DH an email titled "She's on to us!"

She also knew the last time that I was pregnant before I took the test.

Oh, and I haven't told her that we even did an IUI this cycle.  I'm planning to tell everyone - when they ask - that we're on a break and will take the next step (hoping they infer IVF) in the fall.

  • Weird. It is interesting that she didn't just say she "had a feeling" but that she can actually point to the signs.

Or this! lol. I am worried about being found out (and careful about what information I put out there), although I highly doubt anyone I know is on here.

  • i believe it!

Two days before I ovulated this cycle, I went to DH's family reunion.

His 74 year old Aunt came up to me and laid her hands on my belly and said "You'll have a baby in 9 months".  Well I ovulated 2 days later :)

Maybe it's a christian thing because my mom always talks about the power of "laying hands" but, whatever, it worked!!!

She did the same theng when our parents separated.  She was living in London then and none of us told her anything had changed - she just called me out of the blue one day and ran down her list of three questions/suspicions.  I denied them all and all three were true.

And about her being on thebump, she knows I'm on here but I know she has zero interest in cyberstalking me.  I think she understands this is my outlet and she respects that (I hope).

I did find someone I recognized on here, but didn't say anything to them. She probably wouldn't remember me anyway, but I have a knack for remembering people.

  • I had a dream about all 3 of my BFP's about a week or so before they happened.  I also had a dream that my water broke a week before it did.

  • Right after (to put it mildly) conception, and I mean about 10 seconds, DH's mom called on the phone just to "see what we were doing." She never calls before 9 pm. The next day I went to lunch with my dad who said "the last time your DH took me to lunch, it was this very spot, eating your very meal, and he had big news to tell me (proposal). Do you have something to tell me?" The day after that I saw my mom, who asked what we're turning our spare no-name room into next since I'm always changing up my rooms. About 2 weeks later, my mom flat out told me "really, what are you doing with that room, because I'm not ready to be a grandmother." That weekend, I spotted, and thought it was implantation.

The worst was 4th of July. We were watching the fireworks, and my dad related them to us having a baby. One of them he said "BAM, that one was the conception one!" It has been so awkward, but I all of our parents knew about it before we did!
