Keeping baby healthy when you're sick??

DH has what the doctor called "the start of a sinus infection" and I have a sore throat and earache.  Yay, awesome.  We're both on meds starting today.

I'm totally freaked out about getting DS sick though!  I already washed all the sheets, boiled his bottles/pacis, clorox wiped down everything, put handsantizer around the house, etc.

And I'm not giving him any kisses on the face or hands :(

What else?  Oh, and neither of us are running a fever so *hopefully* we aren't contagious.  Ugh, I'm so paranoid.

    If you're BFing you'll pass on antibodies and he'll be fine (when LO was like 2 1/2 weeks old I had a 102 fever and felt like I was hit by a bus. I nursed him through it and he had no issues). Otherwise you're doing everything you need to. I hope you feel better soon!

     This.  I am bf and both hubbie and I got colds ( his turned into broncitis) and our DD didnt even get a sniffle.  And I'll be honest I wasn't being nearly as cautious as you are so dont worry too much.

    I was BF when I had mastitis with a high fever of 103 but not anymore.  He had no issues then...but that's not really a cold either :( So should I be even more freaked out because he's not on the boob?

    Just keep nursing. I got sick when DD was really young & she never got it. Just keep drinking fluids & get as much rest as possible!

    You're taking a lot of precations already- Even FF babies still have antibodies passed from their moms from birth, so your LO should be just fine :)  Feel better!
