Had to cancel IUI...

Has anyone ever had an IUI scheduled and then had to cancel bc DH could not produce a sample??  Well it pretty much SUCKS.

What makes it worse was I had a positive OPK in the late am and then a negative one in the pm...which obviously means I ovulated and we effing missed it.

UGH.

TTC since May 2009 - DOR (ovarian cancer) DE w RBA December 2011 - transferred one embryo 12/14 - three frosties Beta #1 - 129 (12/22) Beta #2 - ? (12/26)

    Oh no, that sucks!! I'm so sorry.  We *almost* had that happen last cycle and it was awful.

    I haven't had to cancel, but just wanted to say I'm sorry. (((hugs)))

    All of this TTTC/IF stuff is very frustrating, we all have been there.  Sometimes I like to take a few minutes to myself to calm down and then go get a decaf latte/tea...the little indulgences help me. :)

     

    TTC #1 Since 11/08 - Dx: MFI & PCOS
    7 IUIs = All BFNs
    2011: March IVF #1.2 = e/p @ 6w: May IVF #2 = BFN: July sFET #1 = BFN

    2012: Jan We're Certified FC/A Parents

    Im so sorry - I worry about this happening. Is it too late for TI? I though an egg was good for 24 hours. We have froze samples in the past for IUI just in case sample wasnt great, or in case that happened.

    I had to cancel last month's IUI due to ovulating early.  It's so frustrating whatever the reason may be.

    I just wanted to say I'm sorry hun, having to cancel is such a hard pill to swallow. (((hugs)))

    I'm sorry, I haven't been there but I know how much my DH stresses when it's time to give his sample too. He puts so much pressure on himself as I'm sure your DH does too.

    Is there any way you can still do TI?

    Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was the pressure.  Its so difficult to not overanalyze it but I know he was having doubts about getting into the sterilized baby food jar...he was telling me the night before he didn't think that was right, etc., etc.  UGH.

    Its too late for TI but we did it the day before and the day before that....which may or may not have contributed to his not being able to get the sample....which I specifically asked him (knowing he knows his own body) if we did it the day before was he going to be able to do it the next day and he said yes.  That's what makes me the most mad.

    I feel bad for being mad but ugh.  Obviously we have communication issues...and then that upsets me and I think jesus if we can't even communicate about sperm how the hell are we going to communicate about a baby??!

    Sorry....just needed to vent (and I can't have a cocktail bc I'm at work!)

    I'm so sorry.  (((hugs))).  We haven't gotten to the IUI stage yet, but DH has performance anxiety when it comes to producing sperm samples.  At his first s/a, he was in the docotr's office for an hour and produced nothing.  Even on the day we rescheduled, it took him a while to produce a sample despite complaining how hard it was to abstain for 3-6 days.

    Oh my gosh I am so sorry. I haven't had this happened but I am so worried that it will happen with our IVF. My center does not collect a frozen sample before hand and that makes me nervous!

    So sorry.  I hope you and your DH are able to get right back into IUI soon.  IF and the timing that goes with it sucks!!

    So sorry hun.

    My DH worries about that every time!  I assume DH couldn't have done anything different, so take it easy on the guy :)
