SAHM...help me out...

I'm going to provide myself some loose structure for when I SAH (I'm used to structure) so i'm creating a list of things to keep us involved.

Here it is so far:

TOTS/MOPS
library
zoo
play dates
pool
Monon Trail
park
walk
craft
yoga
music
games
trader's point farm
connor prarie
pick berries, pumpkin patch, stucky's, etc
trader's point christian church indoor playground

weekly menu
grocery
laundry
bills
clean

So, what else?! :)

Re: SAHM...help me out...

  • btw, I had them add you to the TOTS/MOPS email list, I think there's a play date soon too if you aren't working.

     Good list!

  • museum.

    Picnics.

Take a break and have rest days. Movie days.

My kids actually enjoy shopping sometimes (it's not always easier with them along though)

    good ones thanks!!

It hougth of the children's museum but I'm afraid to take Andrew there - but picnics is a GREAT one!  shopping is fun too.  oh I should add garage sales :)

  • He might be still too little for most of the museum stuff, but they do have a totscape play area that i'll bet he will LOVE this fall.
  • We go to Petsmart and see the kitties for adoption, makes my eyes burn but the girl loves it!  I think they have birds and fish too.
  • Look into the classes/stuff at the Carmel Clay Center or whatever it's called.  They have all kinds of fun things - I remember they once had a mommy & me cooking class, but it didn't work into our schedule.  It would have been around the time Jackson was 2 - so maybe next fall?  I think they also have mommy & me yoga or stuff like that too.  Reasonable prices, as well.

Oh and I would also check into MMO programs - I know Advent Lutheran right by you has one he could go to next year or the year after.  It was only $50 per month for 1-2 mornings per week and it was a nice break for me when we did it.  :)

Isabella loves Petsmart.  Today we stopped there to buy pet food and she was so upset that she couldn't pet the caged kitties.  Then she spotted a dog in the grooming area and freaked out again.  I think she prefers Petsmart over the zoo to be honest lol.
