I've tried to search for a post on this but couldn't really find anything on the bump (probably due to my lack of search savvyness)...today was my 3 day of Lupron injections. It seams like a lot of ladies have had some side effects, and have referred to it as the "Lupron Fog". But has anyone had leg cramping in the injection area? I did 2 shots in my right leg and one in my left and they are both aching. At first I thought it was just me "looking" for a side affect, but it almost feels like growing pains. I also am completely bloated...my belly is sticking out so bad it almost looks like I'm prego (I actually considered it because of how bloated I was, but know that would be impossible).
Has anyone else experianced this?
Thanks!
Re: Lupron side effects
Hi, I'm lurking from TTTC, I hope the girls here don't mind if I reply since no else has been able to
I've not actually given myself the Lupron in my leg. I think most people (this is a generalization) give the injection in their stomach. Some bloating is for sure normal. I actually had a lot of air/gas pain with my first three days of Lupron Mostly all of my side effects from Lupron went away after 3 days.
Can you switch the injection site to your stomach and see what you think? It really does not hurt at all. In fact, I never felt my stomach injections. I hope this helps
I have only done Lupron in the stomach. I have bloating problems from the meds, which isn't unusual. I haven't heard of Lupron being IM.
Thank you ladies, I'm not sure why they are having me do them in my upper thigh. I know when I start Menopur I will be injecting those into my stomach. I'll give my RE a call tomorrow to see what they say. I forgot about the gas, yesterday I was completely gassy, today completely bloated.*sigh* O the joys of TTC~ but I know the outcome will be well worth the journey!
