Well, after talking more to our doctor earlier and weighing the risks and benefits of attempting the natural delivery versus a cesarean, we have decided on the cesarean. With how big the baby is measuring and all, my doctor highly recommended the c/s. Abe and I didn't feel comfortable risking the baby getting stuck or injured and I just couldn't live with myself if anything terrible were to happen. I feel like we're making the best decision for our baby and though it's obviously not what we'd hoped or prepared for, that's okay.
So, hopefully in about two hours we'll finally be meeting our son or daughter!!! I am pretty tired and was pretty emotional earlier but I am more excited than anything

Abe is already in his scrubs and the hotness is a great distraction - haha. I hope to update sometime tomorrow! Hope y'all have a great evening.
Re: waiting on a c/s
Praying for you!
Sara
Praying BC gets here so soon and you are both comfortable and have a wonderful time bonding.
If it is any help hearing, my c/s went super smooth. I was able to BF within about 1/2 hr of delivery. As soon as they sewed me up and started to wheel me out of the OR Leah was in my arms, so I don't feel like I missed bonding with her like I've heard others say that have had an emergency c-section. I felt completely with it and remember the whole thing and was even talking and laughing with the dr and staff as they were doing the c/s. All that to say that when you don't know any different your birth experience will be perfect for you, DH, and your baby.
So can't wait to hear all about him or her!!!! Oh and they thought Leah was enormous too and she was only 8lbs 3 oz.
Oh, Jac! EYES ON THE PRIZE, lady!!!!!
How exciting for you!!! Sending lots of T&Ps! Can't wait to see pics of your gorgeous LO!!!!
T&P's. I'm so excited for you, can't wait to see pics of your LO.
So exciting - you'll have that baby in your arms so soon!
T&P for a quick and easy delivery and recovery.
Can't wait to hear all the details!
You'll be fine w/ the c/s and my experience was great. Immediately after Jackson was out, he and Jeff sat right next to me while they sewed me up and I held him right after that. Then I BF'd immediately as well.
And truly, after having a big baby (that they had no clue was huge), I wish I hadn't had to do both (labor for 30+ hours and then have a c/s).
you know, I think that's a good call. I had an induction, a 20 hour labor and then a c-section. I was so wiped and the recovery I think was a lot harder because of the combination of the labor and then c-section.
I hope everything goes really! Thinking of you!!!
Oh how exciting...c/s aren't that bad and the instant baby w/out all that work of pushing is nice. And just think you get to keep your girly bits in tact!
I hope all goes smoothly! Thinking of you.
