9pm=snack time?

The past week or so dinner does not tide me over until I fall asleep. Usually, I always want to eat but don't want to gain weight so I don't. Then I got pg and was nauseated and never wanted to eat. Now within the last week or so it has been like hello dinner time but it is 9pm and I ate dinner at 5 or 6pm. Rediculous. Anyone else? I like eating a bowl of cereal with skim milk sometimes with blueberries, sometimes just high fiber! I eat bagels for breakfast usually so it isn't like I eat cereal twice a day! Nom nom nom!

Re: 9pm=snack time?

  • yeah I'm hungry right now. I have no idea what sounds good though. I'm thinking a plum.

  • I am starving at night too.

    Currently I have angel food cake topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.  Heavenly!

  • Definitely!!! I always eat dinner around 6, but my tummy is usually growling between 9 and 10. If I don't eat I wake up very nauseous in the morning, so I've been having a bowl of Raisin Bran right before bed and it's really helping.

    Good for you! Fiber is filling but also may work with your body's natural inclination to poo in the AM! Always a great thing during pg, lol!

  • I've been starving at night lately! Normally I'd grab a snack but I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I don't want to get in trouble for gaining too much weight. Embarrassed

  • i think i might have some hot chocolate, even though it is like a tropical rainforest here!  (yay for A/C!!)
  • I get hungry around 9 or 10, right before bed also.  Usually dinner is between 6 and 7 and it doesn't hold me over anymore.  I try to eat a small snack like a handful or two of peanuts or lite butter popcorn; cereal sometimes.
  • I am so hungry! But I feel like I ate too much at dinner.  I'm just not used to having an appetite at all - this is one of the first days.  Currently, DH is not home and I am sitting in bed and do not want to get up.  Either hunger or laziness will win out...I guess we will see. :)

  • I always have a snack at 9. Tonight I had a bagel and cream cheese but then again I threw up my whole dinner so I was starved.

  • Yeah, I'm now hungry every 1.5-2 hours. I'm just trying to keep it as healthy as possible. I've also gained 2 pounds this week already -eeep!- so I need to keep it under control.
