Whats with the heavy wetting lately?

I NEVER had leaking issues before but for the past few weeks, DS has been leaking completely through (like SOAKING wet) about 4-5 times a week.  I normally change his diaper every 3 hours, give or take.  Sometimes I will go to change him at 3 hours and he is almost dry and then other times he has peed through everything after 90 minutes.  I guess he is holding his pee for longer stretches?  I just dont know what to do about all these leaking issues.

Any advice??  Is this possibly a sign that he may be ready to start potty training (I was just tryng to hold off doing that 'til he was at least 2 because I think it is too much with the new baby coming).

    My DS is the same way...he seems to hold it during certain times of day and then all of a sudden his diaper is soaked! I'm excited at the prospect of an early potty trainer. :)
