I have to say, I have never heard Odin before but I surprisingly love it!
My best friend, my husband, my everything Matthew Kevin 7/31/83-7/20/11
Met 1/8/00
Engaged 4/21/06
Married 9/29/07
Two beautiful legacies: Noah Matthew (2 yrs) and Chloe Marcella (8 mos) Day Three
None of these I really like, Roan would be the one I like the best, but it reminds me oddly of rogaine, Ansel just sounds strange like Hansel misspelled, and Odin reminds me of Odor.

I like Roan the best - it's close enough to familiar Rowan/Ronans out there and has always been one of my favorite color words. Any chance of red hair?
Odin, I get but there's something not quite great, yet not quite terrible...one of those names I can't make up my mind on.
Ansel - my mom's favorite photographer is Ansel Adams. Behind the Name has it as an English surname, while Name Berry lists it as a German given name.
I voted for Ansel because I like the name best of the three on its own, but also because I think of the photography, the other two come with not-so-great imagery for me . . .
Roan makes me think of horses, which is not a terrible association, but not one I would choose.
And Odin, well, I can't seem to say this name without also thinking, "Odin, God of War," so I don't think I could choose that one. The name has a really nice dynamic though.
I like Ansel and Roan. Odin we seriously considered for my dog but I was afraid people would shorted it to Odie. Just something to think about. I love the meaning behind it though.

Good luck!
Odin is a very stong Scandinavin name. We have also decided on a stong Scandinavin name if our LO is a boy....Gunnar.
I like Roan, but prefer it spelled Rowan.
Odin is the name of my parents dog, but they spell it Oden.
The other name isn't my style.
