Mine started last week. They're awful, I feel you. I did find, however, that taking the half a unisom I was originally taking for nausea before bedtime makes it a bit better. It's a strong antihistamine, and my headaches seem to stem from my sinuses, so I guess it makes sense, right?
Seriously, take it from me. Call your OB. The symptoms can compound and turn into other things. She prescribed me fioricet, its a miracle worker!!! However, the ingredients are acetaminophen and caffeine, so maybe try some es tylenol and a soda or coffee?
Finally figured this one out today too. I am thinking sinus headaches from allergies. I was trying claritin put it did nothing- still sneezing and blowing my nose! I miss my allegra-d!
Ugh-they are really getting to me as well. I have found one extra strength Tylenol takes most of the edge off. If I am at home, I take a quick power nap and that seems to help also
OH my gosh....I have a constant headache. It feels like a sinus headache, however, I went to the doctor and I don't have any mucus to cause sinus issues. She explained it to me as vascular congestion. She said sometimes near the end of the first trimester/beginning of sencond trimester the extra blood can cause the veins to swell in the sinus area; therfeore, causing similiar symptoms of a sinus headache.
Bad news: Nothing you can do about it, except for tylenol (which doesn't help) and a hot compress (helps a tiny bit).
Good news: Your body adjusts to the extra blood and the headaches should eventually go away!
i started getting headaches about a week ago... i usually have a few a day... they usually arent too bad though... which is good because im one of those hard headed people who dont like to take medicine

I feel your pain. I started getting them last week. The worst was waking up at 3:30 am with one and not being able to get back to sleep until 5:30. Tylenol seems to help mine, though.

Claritin has never done anything for my sinus headaches but Zyrtec works great for me. Not sure if it is something you can have while pregnant (my allergies thankfully haven't been bothering me this summer) but if you can have it - it might be worth trying.
Its awful and today is the worst!! I'm MISERABLE. Caffeine helps short-term..but don't want to rely on that. I got this in an email from the bump this morning..(I'm sure you all get it)
First trimester: Check! The nausea, fatigue, mood swings, and bathroom dashes should soon fade, but (sorry!) headaches and dizziness will probably get more intense.

I went to the Dr today and she said that Tension headaches can be from stress.... and from not eating.... She wants me to try to eat something every three hours.... maybe try that?
Thanks for all the advice. Unfortunately tylenol does absolutely nothing so I don't even take it. I eat small meals all through the day like the doctor suggested. I occassionally have caffeine to help knock it out for a little while. Ugh! I talked to the doctor at my appoinment and he said that I should try Magnesium Glycinate and Riboflavin (B2) with some motrin. I guess another one of his patients suffers from migraines and thats what she takes to help. So I gotta get to the compounding pharmacy and pick this up....TODAY!!! It is definitely worth a try and is all natural...so it can't hurt!
