"This Woman's Work"

So, Day 3 of summer vacation and I should be cleaning the apartment, but instead I am watching "She's Having a Baby".  (1988... really???) It is the the scene where she is having the emergency C-section and the movie keeps flashing back to earlier scenes, the ER and Kevin Bacon in the waiting room.  It gets me EVERY TIME.  Now I am sobbing: the lyrics to "This Woman's Work" by Kate Bush gets me into a hysterical sobbing mess.

UGH!  I think I will go to Home Depot and buy paint now....  The Master bedroom needs some sprucing up!!!!

    OMG Joe's I love that movie!!! I think I watched at my Aunt's house on BETA!  I know I'm dating myself sad but true!  That song is awesome and you are not alone about being a hysterical sobbing mess, I am the same way.  Have fun painting I need to do that too but have been lazy about it.

    I've never seen that movie, but I LOVE Kate Bush and "This Woman's Work" is one of my favorite songs of hers...  it gets me weepy every time I listen to it... can only imagine how easily I'd lose it if there were visuals attached.

    I went right to this post when I noticed the subject line.  I absolutely love that movie and own at least 3 copies of it (2 are probably VHS).  It makes me laugh and cry!!  I might watch it this weekend...

    I love this movie and haven't seen it in so long!  I cry my eyes out during that scene, too.  (gotta' love a skinny Alec Baldwin, too. . . )
