national gurad tricare

So as of now we are eligible for Tricare reserve select, but DH is suposed to go on ADOS soon so we would be able to get tricare prime I believe since its more than 30 days. ADOS may only be temporary though so we will have to switch back right? Sorry I've only been an army wife since February.

    You can be on Prime while your Dh is on active duty but make sure you sign up for TRS (tricare reserve select) the day he leaves AD.  And you have to make sure that DEERS has your status correct to be eligible for TRS after AD.

    It depends on the type of order, how long and under what title he is being activated.

    Are you talking about a school? Active Duty for Special Work (ADSW)?

    If I were you I'd get a copy of his orders, call a DEERS/Tricare Benefits counselor and make sure you get the right answers.
