former Epers or BF'ders AF ??

So we made it to 6 months EPing and then my body said no more...so I am done:(.  DS is thriving and I am okay with it I made it through 3 clogged ducts, mastitis, and then thyroid problems....now my questions is how long did it take for AF to arrive?  Not that I am anxiously awaiting her arrival but I hate waking up every day thinking it may be today...blah blah

    I Bfed for a year and about 5 weeks after I stopped AF returned for me.  My cramps were horrible and continue to be.  Never had bad cramps prior to being pregnant either. I think it's different for everyone though.

    I was told it will take no longer than 6 wks from the last time.  And sure enough, AF returned three days less than 6 wks.  And a the end, I was hardly bf'ing at all, just a couple of minutes at night.

    I think I am the poster child for why you can't depend on EBF for birth control.  With both girls, AF came back 3-4 months postpartum...sigh.

    I got it at 6 months pp.  I was/am still BF'ing and was not expecting it.

    never got it, got pregnant when I stopped pumping and went to 2 BFings a day when DD was 11mo old.

    thanks ladies...so I guess like with everything else...it is different for every person.

    I was still BF DS at 6 months when AF came back.  I think it came back because I had started DS on solids more consistantly and therefore he was cutting back on BFing some.

    Despite quitting BFing at 6 months for low supply reasons, I didn't get AF back until 8 months PP after my first cycle on NuvaRing.

    I think you're doing well having not gotten it so far.  I got AF back before I stopped EP-ing, with both my girls.  Thanks Mother Nature. 
    Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.

    I got pregnant  when DS was 6 months old.  had a m/c and irregular periods for the next couple of months.  Things were really back to normal when I weaned him at 14 months.
