Yeah! All five of my eggs fertilized. We thought from the beginning that we would be really lucky and have tons of embryos to chose from, but once we got started we could see that that was not going to happen.
We had wanted to impant two and freeze any extras, but with the strong likelihood of having 3 embryos it left me tempted to go for three. If this doesn't work we are moving on to adoption.
I love adoption but adopting our son was very up and down and an extremely emotional process, and it almost fell through many times, so I was really hoping fertility treatments would work this time around. Because of the I am going back and forth where I was once firm on two embryos.
If we end up with 4 embryos, then we wont have the dilemma as we would freeze two.
I am 32 years old and we have male factor infertility. I do not want triplets. I am having a hard time finding statistics on risk factors for my age and for male factor infertility. I heard that the chance for triplets is very low, like 2 percent. Is that true?
In case we only have 3 embryos, any words of wisdom?

Great report!
Good luck with your decision! It is a tough one. I was told by my RE if we put back 3 embryos we had a 10 - 15% chance of triplets. Your RE should discuss this fully with you when you go in to do your ET, but you may want to call to speak with the nurse ahead of time so you have time to mull it over.

Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH
DH: perfect
1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p
2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!
1 FET in Aug 2013 = BFP!
Congrats on a great fert report!
I agree with PP that this is only a decision that you and your DH can make. GL!

Congrats on the great fert report!
I skipped going the IUI with injectables route because I didn't want to gamble with high order multiples. I know with just two embryo's, there is still a chance that one could wind up with triplets with IVF, but it is much lower than with IUI.
I wouldn't feel comfortable with having three - mainly due to the risk factors during pregnancy. I am 34, and if I make it to transfer, I am only doing two. This is just me though, so whatever you choose - good luck!
Yay! That's great news!
I agree with the pp that the decision of how many embryos to put back is a very personal one. Ultimately, you need to go with what your heart tells you. I personally would only want to put 2 back, especially on the first IVF. But, that being said, there are probably some circumstances in which I'd at least consider 3.

Great news!! As far as how many to transfer, I agree with pp. That's a decision that only you and your DH can make together.
I don't have any words of wisdom, just wanted to congratulate you on a great fert report. Grow embies grow!!!!
