1. 20 hours of labor and I never made it past 2cm. But I was there for pregnancy induced hypertension, not because I was overdue. It took her from 3am admitting until 9am when she could even get in to break my water after 3 of those cervical things to loosen it up.
2. C section
3. Never, ever again. But I was also only 36w...she should have just c-sectioned me. They were giving me sulpher something for the BP which is a drug to stop labor, while giving me pitocin. It made no sense, plus my BP was going way up and then way down. I was a sick puppy. I think as long as you advocate and don't let it go on too long without any progress, its fine. But mine let it go without progressing for far too long. By the time Mr. I came out, I was way out of it.
1. How long did yours take? 6.5 hours, induction started at 7am baby at 1:30 (I just had the lowest dose and it was never increased b/c my water had broke and labor had begun, just needed a kick start). It went faster than I was prepared for. I kept crying and saying I needed more time.
2. Was it successful or did it go to an emergency c-section? successful vaginal delivery
3. Would you do it again? yes, I don't like surprises so I was more than happy to know when labor would happen. -My nurse told me I could get an epi once I had consistent contractions which happened at 3 cm...which was good b/c I progressed to 8 in 45 minutes.
1. I went at 4pm on a Tuesday for cervadil, got pitocin at 8:00am and she was born at 2:19pm
2. Yes it was successful, I had a vaginal birth with no complications
3. Yes! But I would rather not only bc I had to have the cervadil and it meant an extra day in the hospital, but being induced was not a problem at all.
1. How long did yours take? Gosh, I'm forgetting all of this already. I checked into the hospital at 6pm, they put something on my cervix to get my contractions going, I believe Pitocin began around midnightish and Soph was born 7:49am the next morning.
2. Was it successful or did it go to an emergency c-section? Definitely successful, it was perfect.
3. Would you do it again? Hell yes...but I had it easy. I was already dilated before I was induced, so at least there was some sort of progress when going in. If I had complications or had to have an emergency C-section, I'm sure I'd feel differently.
1. How long did yours take? Start to finish (with Ian) 17 hours.
2. Was it successful or did it go to an emergency c-section? It took me a long time for me to get to 6, got an epi and things went very fast after that.
3. Would you do it again? Not unless necessary. I enjoyed my natural birth very much.

1. Started cytotec at 1am, water broke at 7am, G was born at 6:15pm
2. Successful
3. Knowing what I know now I would, and I would have done it sooner. I still don't know how I managed to avoid a c-section!

Lib, I think that this is what I am going to say.
