I just saw your post about my "wicked" comment... I also lived in Berkeley for several years (grad school) and now I'm hella messed up... lol I interchange them both at will...depending on the situation.  I'm a chameleon...

Hella fun to get people wicked confused.  Totally. Awesome. Stick out tongue

    This is hilarious!!  If you really want to throw 'em a curve ball toss out a "hecka".  That's my "non cussing version of hella"!!  Everyone in Worcester thought that was classic!!!  I love Berkeley I went to college in the Oakland hills and was always over there.  Cafe Strada was my favorite studying spot.

    Ahhhh... Strada!  I lived just a few blocks from there... memories!

    "Hecka" sounds like a great West Coast/East Coast hybrid... will have to try it sometime! :)

    Sorry...Jumping In .. I am from Maine and lived in NH & MA.   My cousin always used to call her brother a "Wicked Big Looser"

    I miss my New England slang/accent...you just dont get that here in Kentucky.
