I've been on the board awhile and was wondering if someone could tell me the elephant story? I've read that elephants mourn their losses and imagine that there is a story about an elephant who suffered an infant loss. I guess I missed the boat somewhere in learning about it....

I don't think there's a story about a specific elephant. I think Ellie is our mascot because we love her and elephants are lovely animals who do support one another in times of sadness and loss.
