Pediatrican recs needed- Bel Air/Fallston

Hi,

This is my first time posting on thebump's Baltimore board (though I was on the knot during the wedding planning days).  My husband and I are expecting our first child at the end of August and are in the process of finding a pediatrician.  Does anyone have any recommendations for a pediatrician or pediatric group in the Bel Air/ Fallston area?

 Thanks!

  • We've been very happy with box hill pediatrics in abingdon. We see Dr. Venugopal and never have a problem making an appt. They also have separate waiting rooms for sick kids which I like.

  • Congrats and welcome! Our pedi isDr Henning with Pediatric Partners. She is wonderful and so are Drs Lamonico and Seymore also with that practice. Right now they are in Bel Air, but the are moving to Forest Hill in the fall (about 10 mins away).

  • We see Seymour at Pediatric Partners.  We love Henning as well.  We wanted Lamonico but he is not accepting new patients bc he accepted a director position at the hospital.  We weren't crazy about Seymour at first but I've grown to like him.  However, we really took to Henning as Henning saw our daughter in the hospital.

One of my sisters uses Bright Oaks and she loves it there.

  • PS- I do avoid Dr Hartwig. We saw her once and she rubbed me the wrong way. I have talked to others who said the same.

  • Another one here who sees Dr. Henning with Pediatric Partners. I absolutely love her. She's always so great with my son. I just had my 2nd baby 2 weeks ago and when she came into the hospital she was asking about Evan...it made me feel so good to know she actually remembers us. I don't feel like a number.

I also have to agree with the Dr. Hartwig comment...it's a shame I have also heard people aren't too fond of her.

  • If your primary care physician's specialty is family medicine they can act as your child's pediatrician.  That is what we are doing, and we have been very happy with that decision.  Good Luck.

  • We go to Dr. Paxson with Pediatric Partners in Bel Air (North Ave office).  I really like her!  Several Bumpies go to PP, and I've heard great things about Dr. Cox and Dr. Feldman as well.
  • Thanks everyone!  I'm off to make some calls and schedule interviews :)
