I fell while holding Sophia.

It happened a few days ago while we were in Florida and I'm still upset/shooken up by it.

We decided to run to the store to get some snacks, pop, etc. to keep in the kitchen at our hotel. We get to the store and Sophia had fallen asleep in her car seat. She's so big now that we always leave her car seat in the car and just take her out of it. Well, we didn't want to wake her up by taking her out of the seat so we decided to just take the entire seat and put it in the shopping cart. I am SO glad we did this.

We finish our shopping and Jordan takes all of the bags of stuff and I carry Sophia in her car seat. We're walking out to the parking lot, I can't really see what's in front of me because the seat is so big and so damn heavy. I'm walking, lugging this big ass seat, somehow miss the step down and BAM!

I fell totally face first, arms straight in the air and dropped Sophia's car seat. People came running from their cars, inside the store, EVERYWHERE to make sure we were okay. Sophia was screaming her head off (she was scared to death) but she was totally fine, thanks to the car seat. It was not only embarassing but scared me so much and I cried like a big idiot in front of random strangers.

I have a lovely gash on my knee from the fall...but I'll gladly take that over Sophia getting hurt. THANK GOD we took her in that stupid car seat. There is no way I could have held onto her if I was just carrying her on my hip like I normally do. So scary Glad we're all okay though!

I'm so sorry! I hope your knee heals fast and its wonderful that Sophia wasn't hurt. I have fallen holding Rowen before and it is so scary. It didn't even matter how badly I was hurt as long as he was ok. Don't worry about crying, I'm sure anyone who has a kid of their own would completely understand!
