:-( My older son had and is just getting over the hand, foot, and mouth disease and she doesn't want us to come to her party on Sunday. The Dr. says he's not even contageous anymore and he has no signs. Totally SUCKS
well, I can certainly understand her concern - it's is highly contagious! However, perhaps if you call her and explain your child isn't contagious anymore she might reconsider?

Sorry, but I don't think you can blame your friend for being concerned, especially if she as a host has to think about other parents bringing their kids to her house.

HFMD causes HIGH fever and some pretty serious throat/mouth pain. Which with a baby, usually means they can get dehydrated because they don't want to eat.
I don't blame her at all. My oldest has had this twice because other people were too inconsiderate to either stay home or tell us their child had it.
As a host, that would not be fun to have all the other parents become concerned that their child might get it. May not be fun but it's safer and gives everyone peace of mind.
Re: got banned from a friends holloween party
I'd be cool w/ that. How many times to we read posts about people not being cautious w/ communicable diseases.
Just stay home and eat candy
Your poor son! That sounds miserable.
That sucks about the party. Other parents were probably concerned and your friend had to be the bad guy about it.
