Yes. I have 11 frozen right now from my IVF that I did last year. I plan to do a frozen embryo transfer with the next pregnancy. If it sticks and pregnancy is successful and I deliver baby I will donate the rest. I am only planning on 2 children. Maybe.
I wouldn't. It's so hard on your body and you have to get injections daily...it's just not worth it IMO. I'd much rather be a surrogate than donate eggs. Plus, like pp said, there's so much bad family medical history I dont' think they'd take me anyway! haha ~A

I've half jokingly considered it. When I thought it would never be a good idea for me to get pregnant, I thought about it. I figured if I couldn't use 'em, maybe someone else could.
I have a friend who did this 3 times - she got $5,000 every time. She obviously did it for the money.
From what I understand, you go through the same process as you do for egg retrieval for IVF. Lots of hormones, daily shots, etc. It seemed to really mess with her moods and she gained some weight also. I guess it was worth it to her, though...for me, I couldn't do it.
By the way, YES it is soooooooooooooo hard on your body!!! When I did IVF to get DD I went through all of the shots, etc. OMG what an experience. After they retrieved my eggs from ovaries I developed SEVERE OHSS (Over Hyperstimulation Sydrome or somthing like that its called). My ovaries were so swollen they were touching each other for MONTHS!!! For my egg transfer 5 days later I could barely sit and the nurse was like Are you still in pain? I was in pain for a good 2 months. Thank god I was not working because honestly it was so bad I would have had to quit my job. They were scared I had kidney failure but luckily I stood on top of my fluids and drank CRAZY amounts of gatorade and started to feel better 2 months later. Thank god I have 11 eggs left because I will NEVER EVER EVER do IVF again.
Wow! Is all I can say. My sister had done all the paper work and is waiting for someone to choose her as a donor. I thought there would be hormones and such involve, but she is convinced she has to do shots for a week and then it is a painless procedure to extract the eggs. Her plan is to do this the maximum seven times you are allowed to donate. She is never planning on having children and for her, even though she says it isn't, I have to believe it is about the money.
Everytime I love at my son though I can't imagine a part of me being in the world that I don't have with me to love or know. She doesn't see it that way though, that is why I think she sees the dollar signs.
I have and I was also considering it before I was pregnant. Now that I've had a baby, I would love for other people to have the same experience with a baby that I have. So if they'll take me, I will donate. I am not scared about the procedures involved. And, the money would be great.
(I also give blood and plasma and wanted to be on the list for a bone marrow donor but couldn't because of a medication I take.)
Re: s/o anyone consider donating eggs?
What's for Dinner?

Our family is complete!

But I doubt anyone wants my eggs.
