AW: When it rains it pours

So I've been a little MIA lately even more so the last two days. I was on vacation last week getting some stuff done around the house in preparation for our 1st home study this weekend and as I posted the weekend before last our little Bella puppy got really sick after eating something created a blockage, but she is better and we escaped surgery.    So this past Sunday we got an offer to go down to Sarasota to go boating on a NICE boat with a friends parents (the friend is suffering from IF, and what they thought was an ectopic that is now a RARE disease caused from a rare molar preganancy that can turn into cancer) so we went to visit and support her and take an amazing 3 hour boat ride) then on the drive home my dad calls and is in the ER and after losing my mom a year ago I have been so worried about something happening to him. He has barret's esophogus and if not careful can turn into cancer.  7 years ago he collapsed from bleeding out of both ends (eww...TMI) and was in ICU for 7 days, so when I got that call I was pretty worried.   Then yesterday was supposed to be my first day back to work but as I was getting ready to walk out the door my vision got all funny and then started to fade and then I FREAKED because I knew that meant a HORRIBLE aura migraine was coming so I ended up calling in sick and was in terrible pain yesterday (I am going to do a seperate post after this about migraines).  And now our first Home Study visit for the adoption is scheduled for this Friday at 2pm so I have to miss more work!   

So I was just sitting here at my desk and apparently spacing out because I went to scratch my arm and it hurt a little because I got a little sunburn when we went boating on Sunday... next think I realized I WAS RUBBING HAND SANITIZER ON MY SUNBURN... WTF, talk about space cadet. I wanted to put a little lotion on... I can't believe I just did that :)

There was no purpose to this email except to provide you with some reading enjoyment (and I had to tell someone about the crazy lotion/hand sanitizer space out).   And to lead into a migraine discussion (seperate post to follow).

    Sorry you are going through all of that at once.  I got a call from my dad last week that he was on the way to ER and I freaked out since he lives in FL.  I also lost my mom so I worry all of the time about getting that call.  Luckily he's fine, but I hate worrying all of the time.  I hope your week gets better.  GL with the homestudy too!

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

    Wow- you have a lot going on!  I hope this is it for a while and it's all good things from now on.  Good luck with your homestudy!

    Hope your dad is ok, Bella stays good, and your migraines go away.  Sending you some virtual aloe vera for your sunburn.

    I have a hand sanitizer oops- my mom had one of those small spray hand sanitizers that look like breath freshener... yeah- I thought it was and had to rinse my mouth out. LOL
