Putting DC in the Jumperoo

is not exactly easy. In fact, I have once boinked her head on the sun toy while concentrating too intently on just getting her feet thru, another time I thought I was doing it right but she ended up backwards in the damn seat, and still another time I had thought she was all comfy but it turned out one of her feet were not thru the hole yet and I had left her there to "jump" one-legged for at least a couple minutes before realizing it lol.

Any tips? Commiseration?

  • LOL!  Seriously, I am totally laughing right now because I have the same issues.  I have found that if I get him halfway in but his feet are stuck, I grab him under his butt and between his legs from behind with one arm/hand, and pull his feet out from underneath with the other hand.  Seems to work!

  • Hey Sally, our babies have the same bday! What a wonderful day that was :)

  • Pull the seat out (up), stick his feet through, and sit him down.  The seat should go back down with him.
  • You just cracked me up!  I have the same problem!  And why did they make it so that you can't carry it through a doorway?!  I put it together in my room while dd was napping and was so excited to take it out into the living room so that she could try it when she woke up and when I went to move it, it wouldn't fit and I had to take it apart!!!
  • I hold her in my arm, with her body on my arm and my hand between her legs (kinda like you would a football), that way I can support all of her with one arm and put her legs in with the other.

NOT that I've been smart enough to figure it out yet, but the box it came in shows that the base collapses specifically to fit thru doors. The manual mentions nothing and as I said before, I'm clearly just not smart enough to figure it out. If you figure it out, let me know :)
