I try to respond to posts about how much your LO eats but I always have to strain my brain to figure out approx how much he intakes. I never measure cereal anymore, or food that comes out of a jar. the only thing i can easily know off hand is home made food because it's in cubes
so do you still measure?
Re: am I the only one who doesn't measure?
I measure out her bottles for daycare and that's it. When she is with me, I nurse her. And when making her cereal, I just pour into the bowl what looks to be the right amount to me. Sometimes she completely finishes, sometimes not.
We will be starting other solids soon. I'll probably end up eye balling that too after starting.
His bowls of oatmeal come in two sizes: a big, hefty glob and a little glob.
So no, I don't measure.
I kind of measure. Like I know that a scoop of cereal is "about" 1 oz, same with the homemade food cubes ... they are "about" 1oz.
Usually for meals and snacks, she gets 3 - 4 oz of solid food, (1 meat/protein, 1 veggie, 1 scoop cereal OR for a snack 2oz fruit/veggie + 1 scoop cereal) and 4 oz bottle. She eats 5 - 6 times per day, so do some back of the envelope calculations ... I have an idea of how much she eats.
