3rd Trimester

First time mommy to be!

Im 27 years old and I am a Paralegal.

As I get close to my due date, I fill myself with all sorts of emotions. I'm nervous, anxious, excited and worried. My worries are the new changes that are going to occur to me in my life from now on. I'm no longer that one person that just gets up and goes any where. I will have someone to look after and I just keep thinking to myself for some strange reason will I be able to provide and make sure my baby has everything she needs. I guess my fear is to fail as a mom.

Also, I'm looking for a better place to work  after my maternity leave with more benefits and then looking for a home in the near future and everything added into one big ball of stuff I know I probably shouldnt be stressing about right now but I do.

Is it just me or does every first time mom have these lil fears as well. But whatever challenges that come my way I'm ready to tackle them. After all, we are truly blessed to have this little baby girl come into our world. She means everything to me. I love her so much. I can't wait to meet her.

  • I think these fears are normal.  Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancy.

  • You are not alone.  I think I can safly say evey women here fear she may fail at being a mother.  I also carry around a truck full of worries on a daily basis.  I am due on saturday, and am really starting to not only get excited, but also really freaked.  I think I have cried, like real snot bubble cries, like 4 times in the last week.  So yeah, I am pretty sure tons of worries are normal :-)
