IVF Follie Check #2

Hi ladies!  I had my second follie check this morning.  As of right now they can see about 15 total follies and 11 of them are between 16-21 mm, so they grew quite a bit since yesterday.  There are another 3 or 4 that are around 12-14 mm, so they will either trigger me today or tomorrow.  I am waiting for the phone call from the RE and when he gets my E2 levels back from the lab he'll decide what to do.  Oh - and my lining was 13 today! 

I am slightly disappinted because they estimate they will get about 10-12 perfectly mature follies.  Out of those 10 only about half will successfully fertilized.  So we are going to be lucky to get 5 follies that put in or freeze.  I guess all I need are two good ones, so I need to stay optimistic.  It's just so hard!  I was hoping to have several to freeze so I wouldn't have to go through all the injections and ER twice.

I so wish I could have a nice big glass of wine.  That would relax me!!  The "what if's" of this process are just so overwhelming!!

    Those numbers are amazing, Kelin!  You will have plenty for freezing.  I just know it!

    Wow those are great numbers!  Keep repeating that it only takes one (although that hasn't been true for many ladies here). I really hope that this is it for you and your DH!

    I don't know a lot about ER and this process, but everything sounds good.  I'm sure it's hard to stay positive.  I wish you the best though this.

    Don't let the numbers get to you, I always stress about them but I try not to. This past cycle I had 23 retrieved, 13 mature and 11 of those fertilized. So you should think a little higher than half. Last cycle I had even less mature and fertilize and both they implanted stuck, plus we had one to freeze. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and hope you have a great retrieval.
