Do you still use your monitor?

Re: Do you still use your monitor?

  • I voted no, but the reason we stopped using it is because we can hear her perfectly fine without it. I really never needed one.

  • Her room is two floors down from ours in our townhouse. We'd never hear her without it.

  • We share a wall with his room, but I still use it every night.
  • Yes. DH claims he doesn't hear her half the time on the monitor so I keep it up so he can hear her. I can hear her fine but whatevs. :) He does sleep a lot more soundly than I do.

  • We really only use ours in the summer when the a/c is on in our room, because it's pretty old and very loud. Other times we can hear her perfectly fine.
  • We really don't need it at night b/c our room is right next to hers but I like using it during nap times if I'm sitting on the deck or whatever.

  • Only when we go to bed for the night so I can hear DS getting up in the morning.
  • Yes we do, much to DH's chagrin.
  • Even though his room isn't that far from ours (2 doors down the hall), I'm a super deep sleeper and we sleep with a fan on for white noise.  We also keep his door closed so our cat doesn't jump in the crib with him.  We'd never hear him if we didn't use a monitor.

  • Sound doesn't travel well in our house. At All.  You can barely hear someone when they yell from the next room.  It makes for great sleeping.  However we need two monitors in her room.  One for upstairs and one for downstairs.

  • I voted yes, but only when we're downstairs in the basement or outside. We never used it at night while she slept, we only use it if we're out of earshot - which boils down to the finished basement or outside.
