Ectopic Pregnancy question!

 Just a little background about me! My husband and I have been TTC for 2 years, naturally. This was the first positive pregnancy test, ever! I caught it very early, first hcg was 10, 17, 75, then 79. I was told after the hcg of 17 by the nurse, I was having a miscarriage. We were so crushed. The next hcg went up to 75 The doctor was hopeful things turned for the better. Then, the hcg lf 79, I was told again I am now having a miscarriage. Went in for the US yesterday, it showed ectopic pregnancy in my left tube, cannot believe it! It's been an emotional roller coaster. I go in today to have methotrexate, which is also a chemo drug . I am not very happy at all. I can't believe this is happening, so scared. 

Has anyone ever been misdiagnosed?

    I am sorry for your situation, but it sounds a lot like my last m/c. I had low rising hcg levels as well. The first couple doubled, so I thought i was out of the woods. Then a week later it had only gone up a little. My OB did an u/s and showed nothing in my ute. I was given the injection the following week. I am so sorry.

    What was your experience with the methotrexate? Did you bleed a lot and how long? Did it take a while for your cycle to return? Did you have any side effects? Thanks so much for your response.

    I'm so sorry for your loss and that you have to go through this. I had an ectopic in my right tube in April, also my first pregnancy. My numbers started at 78 and only went to 80 after two days. Very slow rising numbers are a good sign a pregnancy is ectopic. If they saw the pregnancy in the tube in the ultrasound, its pretty much a guarantee that its right, especially if they didn't find the pregnancy in the uterus. I didn't have the option of methrotrexate because of how big it was and had to have surgery, so I'm not sure of the side effects. My prayers are with you. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. :(

    It was't too bad. I had more light bleeding and spotting than anything. It took a few weeks for my hcg to return to zero. I was told by my OB to wait three months to TTC again. I didn't really have any side effects but a little sore in the injection site. AF came pretty quick if you look at my charts. I was given the med on May 11th. Next cycle started June 24th.
