heparin question

in Pregnant after a Loss

what side effects if any have you had? i get like a hot flash after the injection that lasts for about 10 min. i have also been obnoxiously thirsty and have had stomach/bathroom issues. anyone else have any side effects? i ended up in the ER this morning because after i went to the bathroom i had such intense pain i couldnt stand up for over an hour.

    I have not had any (knock on wood). I am also on two shots a day.

    I'm sorry you are feeling crappy and had to go to the ER.

    I have had bruising, little knots underneath and the area is generally itchy. It burns during injection. Hope that doesn't happen again!

    I'm on lovenox, so its a little different, but I haven't had any side effects.  Sorry you're having a rough time.

    I?m on Fragmin P (Dalteparin) which is another low weight heparin. I used lovenox, but it was more expensive and hurt more, and I?m happy I started the Fragmin because I haven?t had any issues with it. Only bruised two or three times so far!

    I don't know that those symptoms are related to the heparin - they sound like normal pregnancy symptoms.

    I'm on lovenox and definitely have bathroom issues.  I think my only blood thinner related side effects are occasional bruises and knots.
