I plan on doing a combination of breastfeeding and pumping (to let other family members aid in the feeding process), and was wondering which bottles would be better and less confusing for baby. The lady at Babies R Us had nothing but wonderful things to say about Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature, but I had already registered for Born Free. I wonder which would be the better option?? Any help is appreciated!!
Re: Tommee Tippee or Born Free?
Do either of the bottles work with the pump you chose?
Tommee Tippee is a huge brand in England; and BRU just started carrying it not too long ago. I haven't heard anything good or bad about them because no one has really used them yet.
I didn't like the Born Free bottles, so we didn't buy any.
We chose the playtex drop ins because I could pump directly into the liner with my Medela PISA. My lactation consultant said that babies generally like the first bottle you give them; if they don't they generally don't like bottles at all.
I would get just a few of whichever bottle you choose. If LO likes it, then go stock up on them.

This is my first LO,so I don't have prior experience to go by,but we chose tommee tippee. They are supposed to be good for moms who breastfeed because of the bottle shape, which is supposed to be closer to the breast shape to avoid nipple/bottle confusion/refusal.
FWIW,SILS(all have 2 plus children)and many friends who have kids have told me that Dr.Brown's are awful.I haven't heard anything about born free.

PS Medela pumps have an attatchment that will thread to any wide mouth bottle I think you can get it at BRU but definitely from their website. It's less than 20$ I believe
