DH and I are thinking about getting one. I've gone on several sites and have read a lot of reviews and they seem to be mixed. A lot of people wrote that they have had a ton of problems with the pump. If you have one, what do you think of it? Any problems? Thank you!!
Re: NBR: Come in if you have a Keurig coffee maker....
We have one at work and I think the coffee tastes like crap. It tastes a little better than a vending machine. :P Yuck.
I have never had a problem with it not working or anything I just don't like the coffee it makes. We have tried several different brands/flavors.
I bought one in January and LOVE IT. We have one in our office and liked that you always got a fresh cup. As far as taste goes....some are good and some are bad. Green Mountain is the brand we get at work and I like the breakfast blend. Also my FAVORITE is the caribou ones. I rarely drink that one now since I have not found it in a decaf at a store.
I also have not had a single problem with the pump or any other part. If my husband drank a lot of coffee I would just get a nice pot though since the pods of coffee are more expensive then just buying beans/grounds. I do think it is perfect since I am the only coffee drinker in the house.
We love ours. We only drink a cup or two on the weekends and a cup in the morning so it's perfect for us. We've had ours for over a year and not a single problem.
I have one. We don't currently use it b/c it keeps telling me I need to de-scale it - even after I've already done it!
Here's what I didn't like about it. The k-cups are very expensive - they come out to over $20 a lb, even at places like Costco. You never end up using all the flavors in a variety pack so there's waste. I prefer very bold coffee so I just started scooping my own, takes out the convenience factor of the keurig.
Also, we drink very large cups, so it's a pain in the butt to have to fill it back up to make 2 cups, in addition to emptying out and cleaning the scooped coffee.
We received it as a gift and used it for a while but ended up going back to our old coffee maker with a basket and large pot.
My mom, on the other hand, loves hers. She's the only coffee drinker in her house and uses the cups, so it works great for her.
HTH.
My bro got one for us for x-mas - and I HATE it. I wanna regift it back to him. I think he got it for us b/c he wanted one.
My pump doesn't always work. It randomly doesn't give me a full cup of coffee & will only make 1/2 or 1/3 cups. So, then I have to refill it restart it and do it again. Plus, I only like some of the coffee types - and the others I just didn't prefer the flavor. I found the individual coffees rather expensive - even with coupons if and when I had them.
I have gone back to my old coffee pot..and couldn't be happier.
Just my opinion though.
I have the Keurig Mini in black and I LOOOOVE it. No complaints whatsoever.
It makes great tasting coffee, it's been working great (had it since January), and it's so low maintenance compared to all the cleaning our regular coffee maker required.
It also takes up much less room on our counter top and we have a much wider variety of hot drinks now because they're all individually sealed (with a regular coffee maker we would only just have one type because no one likes stale coffee!).
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

On that note...I do have a normal coffee maker at my house
