Where did you first feel baby? Below the belly button, above, one side or the other? I doubt anything I have been feeling so far is baby, but I'm curious as to where everyone felt LO's first movements.

I first felt it low and on the right side. The top of your ute won't reach your belly button until 20 weeks or so, so you won't feel kicks above your belly button for a while.

That's what I was thinking, but of course I have a co-worker (you know, the one with 18 and older kids who tries to tell you all about pregnancy) who keeps asking me if I feel movement yet and says I should be feeling it up high.

For me I never once felt the flutters or 'bubbles' as some people call them. I went from nothing to full blown movement. I first felt it at 18 weeks and 3 days and began feeling his kicks from the outside at 18 weeks and 6 days. It is always below my belly button, usually very low in my abdomen and never really stays in one spot. Today he favors moving around on the right side, yesterday it was directly in the middle.
You are almost guaranteed to feel them below the belly button as your uterus is not higher than that at this point. if it is above the belly button than it is most likely gas and not baby.
OK I'm asking my dr about this because last week I started feeling really high punches/kicks. Above my belly button. I don't know if LO is hitting something that is causing an organ or something like that to move so that's what I feel but it's definitely HIGH.
And I'm just 20 weeks this week, I heard it's possible since everyone's body is different but I really thought my ute wasn't that high yet. I'll be asking the dr Friday and we'll see what he says...he'll probably say I'm crazy...haha

I'm only a week ahead of you and I can feel him just above my belly button sometimes but, most of the movement is still low. He likes to kick my bladder. I can feel him kick below my hairline all the way up to my belly button. I ask Dr about this today and he said it was normal, he still has lots of room to move around.
i felt mine at like 10 weeks- i didn't have much gas or tummy issues before then either so thats how i knew- i also got bhicks way early too! everybody is different don't worry- some peoples physiology is different- generally you will prolly feel it pretty low- i didn't start feeling my baby move above my belly button until 25 weeks! just concentrate on the movements and you will eventually be able to distinguish them. all of my stuff has been way early like we heard babies heartbeat at 7 weeks 6 days...so just take heart and be patient- it will come!
Re: Another baby movement question
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

I first felt LO at 18 weeks. It was fluttering below my belly button slightly to the right, she likes the right side of my ute.
