Munchkin Markets consignment sale

Re: Munchkin Markets consignment sale

  • I haven't, but I have a friend who has and raved about it.  She sent me the link and I have signed up for the new/expectant mothers who get to go early on Friday before it's open to the public.  I think I signed up for one coming this October?  I've been loving garage saleing so I'm excited to check it out.

  • I have been to a few but I like Just Between friends ones better

  • I usually go, but the last couple have been crap. The stuff is WAY overpriced or extremely stained. Last time they had a roll arounds dinosaur (a discontinued toy) with a 90 dollar asking price...it came with NONE of the balls and was filthy and cracked.

I'd find NWT carter's outfits priced the same as was on the tag. I never pay full price AT carter's, I'm most certainly not paying it at what is essentially a garage sale.

I'll probably skip it this year...but we'll see.

  • Aww, I'm sad to see these other replies!  Maybe it's not as great as I was told it was.  We'll see I guess.

  • I've never been to this one, but I would rec. Just Between Friends.  I have had FABULOUS luck there and they really do inspect what comes in...they don't let it in unless it's clean and in good condition.

I've gotten a TON of deals there!

  • I?ve been to a bunch of kids consignment sales.  I always find great deals, I got a BIG Country Kitchen for just $20 and a NWT Hanna Andersson outfit for $5 at the Munchkin Markets sale.  But, no matter whether you go to Munchkin Markets or Just Between Friends or any of the others, you will always find items that are overpriced.  The consignors set their own prices not the sale owners, so you will always see a range of prices on even the same things.  I?ve seen Gymboree outfits at the JBF sale for $50 for just a shirt and leggings.  These sales are so much better than garage saleing since everything is hung up and organized.  The key is to get there early to get the best deals and don?t just limit yourself to one sale.  There are 2 websites that list all the kids sales in the Twin Cities and MN that are worth checking out; www.mnkidsconsignmentsales.com and www.twincitieskidssales.com.
