Infertility

NIFR: Hmmm, can you "say" that?

I'm filling out a form for a job I applied for through a staffing firm. The questionaire at the end has a few things listed for HR to fill out. The first one: Appearance_____

I'd like to read what they write: Appearance: fat, slob, preppy, tan, fugly,

Right? I mean I know you should make a good impression...but that shouldn't be a line item on something you send to the candidate to fill out. I can only imagine some of the things that people up here put down...sometimes I wonder if this area teaches people to filter what things they say or write.

  • Hmmm - wouldn't that be more appropriate on a form that YOU don't SEE!! What are they thinking! And yes - I would love to know what they think!

I totally forgot I have to interview someone today - I look like a slob! Totally forgot about it. I bet she'll be thinking that of me! I didn't even wear nice flats!

  • I used to work for a large staffing firm and we had to comment on appearance but meaning "professional" or "non-professional" etc.

But that is weird they have it on the form they gave you!!?

Lol. Give her my form to fill out on you! Wink

I'm sure you look just fine...if not, tell her you're feeling a little under the weather, haha.

    Exactly!

I guess they like to be a tad less PC up here in the Fox Cities rather than Madison or MLW, lol.

LOL, I assume by "up here" and "this area" you mean my beloved Sconnie.

j/k of course, I hate it up there too.  18 yrs was plenty for me...

    Yeah...you're a Fibbie now. And I'm still a FISHTAB.

Confession: I'm still in denial I bought a house here. I still have my IL driver's license AND my blazer plates are still IL. I *think* I might finally change them over but that's going to take a day of drinking to go through with it.
