food processor - I was told by a friend not to bother with the special blenders for baby food. They are a huge waste if you already have a blender or food processor.
i have the beaba babycook. i have only used it once but i already think it is a great investment. we do not have a dishwasher and live in a fairly small apartment. it does not take up much space and i only need to wash one bowl. its great and i think it was worth the money.
I have a Beaba babycook as well (not using it yet though). I like the idea that everything is done in ONE appliance - less for me to clean - and it has a small countertop footprint. I plan on having a few more kids, so it will get used, then I might gift it to a friend.
I use a Magic Bullet to puree. I cook the food in a pot or a baking pan in the oven. With more practice I've learned I don't have to dirty up that many dishes.
Re: babyfood makers...
A regular blender.
