There is an horrible lack of cabinet space. Though, you could purchase a cheap pantry closet, stick it next to the stove then add a table for additional workspace and to have an eat in kitchen.
I have a tiny kitchen, so that part doesn't phase me so much. I feel like those cabinets that are randomly floating there would be like a magnet for my head.. ouch!
I like the floor. L could play plenty of games there. the cabinets, not my style but if the price is right....

I like the way you think. haha
haha. I have found that if things are affordable enough (i.e. cheap enough) I can live with most things.

At least it's kind of big, and you could eat-in if you wanted to. My current kitchen is a galley kitchen, and it's so narrow that you can't open the refridgerator door all the way... it hits the cabinet on the other side.
Both places look pretty cute, wee! Although obviously sometimes pictures can be misleading...
I feel your Queens moving pain. We just found a place 2 weeks ago. Craigslist, MLS, and trulia were our biggest resources.
Kitchen - really small. Plus are there appliances? It looks like at the very least you would need a fridge. So I don't know if you'd even be able to eat in.
The second place it really cute! I like that it has a balcony - thats fun!

Talk to me about MLS and trulia for rentals. I'm not interested in broker fees.
I want you to get an email back for the second one too so I can plan to come visit you.
The 1st kitchen is a little weird with the cabinets. I'd have to put something under* the cabinets so I wouldn't whack my head on the ones that are just floating there.
The place we ended up getting was listed on both MLS and craigslist, by owner. Trulia was helpful in that you can search by looking at a map of the area. At least it can give you an idea of prices in the area you're looking at. We found a lot of crossover between all the listing sites.
Re: Is it me or does this kitchen suck?

(I have lived with smaller)
Its a really nice apartment otherwise, however that kitchen is just tooo tiny.
I kind of like the floors.and the windows. Everything else is yuck.

See, this is the one I really like. I would also like an email back.

That kitchen is weird.
Also, I just got sucked into looking at apartments in our old area of Brooklyn. Even though I now live in a different city all together.
Where in Brooklyn??? I lived there when I was a kid and my sister is back there now. My section of Queens borders her section of Brooklyn.
We were in Carroll Gardens, on Sackett. So on the hell and gone other end. I do miss it, it was an amazing place to live.
Carroll Gardens is soooo puuuuuuuuurty!
LOL. Just over on the left side there. you can see the handle.
