1st Bday questions
I have been to a grand total of 2 bday parties. Is it more common to have them at home? We just had a slew of folks over for the 4th, and it was pretty crowded with only 9 guests. Assuming the entire guest list shows up, it would be a little over 30 folks.

The ones I've attended have been at homes. If they're big, there's outside overflow.
Our playdate group last year consisted of 7 kids and they were all born in 2008. We went to all the 1st b-days and they were all at home.
This year, I'm doing ds's 2nd bday at the YMCA. Our house was way too crowded with 20 people last year and there will a few more people this year.
for both of my kiddos and for my friends/family kids 1st bday, they were all at our homes. the kids aren't old enough to realize there might be a more fun option and there's plenty of time in the future i think to do those fun places.
but, we only had about 15-20 people over, so space wasn't an issue.
Oh dear, I meant I had been to two FIRST birthday parties. That's just sad.
I'm just overwhelmed because we are having two vents, one for DH's family in San Antonio (this one I hope will just be a dinner party though), and his real BDay party here.
Do you have family here (grandparents/aunt/uncle) that might have a bigger home?
We've been to a few first birthday parties and all but 1 were at the house. The 1 that was not was a joint bday party with the 1yo's 3yo sister so it was at a neighborhood pool.
